In Gensokyo, every gene from a female is dominant and every gene from male is recessive, with the possible exception of Rinnosuke. This is why sometimes Touhou kids will be mashups of two Touhous and why sometimes they will more or less be clones of a Touhou - the former has two female parents, the latter has one female and one non-Rinnosuke parent
