The problem is Korea doesn't export culture as much as Japan.

Igo - Chinese invention, popularized by Japan
Technology - Japan was first East Asian nation to recognize the importance of globalization
Gaijin integration - Japan is the most accessible Asian country in terms of teaching English, despite xenophobia

It's natural that if somebody had an interest in Asian culture, they'd look to Japan first, simply because it's much, much more accessible.

If you somehow liked Korean manwa and k-pop more than the Japanese equivalents, it would be significantly harder to pursue such hobby.

Also, anime is immensely popular in both Korea and Japan. Korean pop is still going strong in Japan despite the growth of nationalist sentiment during the economic slowdown. It shows that the only people who actually care about Japan-Korean-Chinese competition are:

a) nationalist historians;
b) old people;
c) second-third generation immigrants like you, who have a yearning for their ancestral "homeland" because they don't feel like they belong to their melting pot of a country, and believes that they can be more loyal to their blood by bringing up historical rivalry that the rest of the world has moved on from.

In other words, please fuck off. We're the ones who have to pay for the economic shitfuckery that's caused by diplomatic rifts from territorial issues because shitstains like you cling to ancient ideas. You're no different than the extremist immigrant Muslims who want to impose Sharia zones in Britain.

>Korea is superior is almost every way.

from what I know of Japanese and Korean culture:

Tae Kwon Do: came from Karate despite Korean natiolism claiming it originated there.

Technology: came from Japan industries installed there.

Work force: there are alot of Koreans in Japan that looks for a better life and opportunity.

Friendly factor: Japanese people were elected as the best tourists in the world by the great major part of all countries. They're polite, give tips, respect local culture, don't destroy their hotel room, etc.

Culture: something totally subjective. But to me Korean culture is just some kind of Japanese pop culture rip-off. See for the way the dress, their hairstyle, etc.

History: also subjective, but I would say
in MY OPINION Korean history is inferior because they can only unite their people nowadays with hate towards past Japan people.
The most ridiculous thing I ever saw was documentary of Korean hate towards Japan, where they teach kids in school to hate the current Jap generation.
These kids drawed some SAILOR MOONS stomping over Japan island.

Food: totally subjective.

>"I want to visit Japan because I like Anime, JRPG and Samurai are really cool"

also if Korea was so cool, they would be pretty much more popular than Japan for tourists right?

Call me a weeaboo or whatever.
But Korean people are brainwashed with the hate towards Japan.

I know about Japan war crimes but the new generation has nothing to do with that.

Deal with it koreanfag!

America NUKED the shit out of Japan and today they are our greatest partner.
Also, Japan may not have ask for forgiveness yet, but you Koreans accept they're financial help of several millions dollar without saying a word.

That's a very shallow view. DPRK was united with nationalism combined with an iron fist. South Korea is a democratic country, and in the long run it's developing a warming diplomatic relations with Japan.

>Also, Japan may not have ask for forgiveness yet

There are plenty of Japanese people who have apologized for WW2, including Emperor Hirohito himself, as well as almost every Japanese Prime Minister.

Korean nationalists aren't going to be satisfied until Japan passes anti-Holocaust denial laws by majority, which in my opinion are extremely counterproductive and a gross violation of freedom of speech rights.

Right now and for the last 5-10 years Korean Pop and Korean Dramas are really popular among Young Japanese and women.

The only thing that pisses me off when it comes to korea is their blatant, willful ignorance with regards to international copyright law.
Hell, they're worse than the Chinese when it comes to IP theft.

Since the 1990's they've ripped off Japanese car designs, and with the help of Chinese slave labor they managed to undercut the Japanese. For example, they're new hatchback is a CRX knockoff.

Just look at Samsung's smart-phones.
They may be running android, but the devices look a lot like Apple's iPhone. Samsung smart-phones don't even run regular Android out of the box and instead is bloatware iOS knockoff called "touchwiz." Apple has of course sued the crap out of them.
Apple's lawsuits against Samsung have held up in European and Australian courts. In the USA, Samsung's attorney's couldn't tell the difference between the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Apple iPad when asked by the judge.

Samsung just revealed the new "galaxy Nexus" smartphone and at the press conference, Samsung's president told reporters that they tried to avoid infringing on Apple's patents when designing the hardware for the nexus. He mentioned that after all of the lawsuits, Samsung would be taking patent law seriously.

RIP Steve.

But I just want to say that this is just how capitalism works.

America- oil companies are free to pollute as much as they want as long as it doesn't violate the already lax environmental laws.

Solution- introduce stricter environmental laws that fall within international standards.

Why it's not feasible- costs jobs.

----

Korea- companies can produce as much copycat products as long as there are no means to enforce copyright laws.

Solution- commit to enforcing international laws regarding copyrights.

Why it's not feasible- costs jobs.
