So, /jp, how does one get to learn japanese? Which books, sites, programs... I need something that I can do alone. I'm really diligent to learn something, but I just don't know where to start when internet provides a lot of stuff.

Isn't this "Otaku culture"? I've never heard of a "I love learning japanese" Otaku, but I sure know of Touhou / bullet hell otaku and VN otaku.
