You know what to do.

Remember guys, there's an 62% chance you're an asshole if your main is Alice.

Need more hosts.

>> No.788001

Is it 100% for Suika?

>> No.788007

>>788001

I don't understand what's wrong with Suika. Her fireball is her only move that I would really consider annoying, and it has 0 priority. Literally, it will blow up on any projectile, no matter how small.

>> No.788012

>Remember guys, there's an 62% chance you're an asshole if your main is Alice.

abba's going to kick the crap out of you...

>> No.788026

Suika does stupid amount of damage without trying. One screw up, and there goes 1/4 or more of your health.

>> No.788044

>>788026
But if you're good with plenty of other characters (Tenshi in particular), you lose a hell of a lot more than that for every screw-up. Suika does a lot of damage per hit, but she has pretty crappy combos.

>> No.788071

>>788044
You're mistaking her for Reisen. Suika can do almost 2.4k by fucking mashing A, and that combo is impossible to screw up no matter what your skill level.

>> No.788081

>>788071
But being good at the newb level does not make her imbalanced. Learn a combo and nearly every character can do that off a 5A extremely easy.

788102

yeah, regardless of how good a character is at the novice level, it doesnt really matter in the long run. i love the way remilia plays, but she is doomed to mediocrity because of her crippled movement and lack of a respectible corner game. her 236BC and 22BC might tear apart newbies, but they cant make up for her deficiencies.

imagine if youmu couldnt block, or something silly. poor remi :(

>> No.788106

>>788102
remilia is top tier

>> No.788124

>>788106

shes definitely not. movement is even more important in swr than in most fighting games, and remi has arguably the worst movement in the game.

>> No.788120

>>788099
You can do a 2.4k damage combo with almost no effort. It's the 3k+ combos that actually require a significant amount of effort/luck.
>>788102
Remi REALLY isn't that bad. I'd say her backdash being nerfed is worse than her lack of flight, honestly. She has good projectiles, her jab is on par with Aya's, and she absolutely destroys slow projectile characters (Patchy) with her speed.

>> No.788121

Right, anyone get really laggy spectate? And is there anyway to speed that up?

>> No.788130

788130

>>788124

>> No.788137

>>788124
She has the worst air movement. Her 236C covers half the stage near instantly and grazes, with almost no lag afterward. She also can ALWAYS hit an opponent if they do something laggy because of her 22B. Her lack of good combos is far more distressing than her movement speed. She's not top tier, but she's certainly closer to the top than the bottom.

>> No.788138

>>788120

she is definitely not horrible, like on a reisen level, but i dont see her being great in tourney play. a lot of characters absolutely shut her down. she can have the greatest combos or priority in the world (and she doesnt) but if you cant position yourself for them, it doesnt mean anything.

i just cant see her rising above middle-tier in serious play.

>> No.788149

is it just me, or is it almost impossible to block properly when you are NOT the host.

>> No.788153

>>788149
What? You're using the built-in netplay, right? It gives the same delay to the host and the connector.

>> No.788165

>>788137

i dont think her ground movement is that great, either. 236BC is really good, but not being able to control the distance of your ground dashes is really, REALLY horrible. she is incredibly easy to trap because she can only land at point a or b while trying to close distance.

>> No.788173

>>788165
Trap? Like in the corner? Surely you jest. Either that or you haven't played a decent Remi.

>> No.788184

>>788165
And you only use ground dashes for movement to dash behind the enemy and hit them from behind because CHRIST YOU CAN DASH THROUGH THEM. Also for grazing through projectiles because her ground dash forward grazes on every frame.

>> No.788193

In IaMP, possibly correct.

A player who has connected to my game has reported small instances of lagbursts (game would pause for a brief amount of time, then speed up to catch up again). Nothing drastic, but I do not believe the connection on both sides is equal all the time. We were both running on the same SWR version and patches, so that is not the problem.

>> No.788226

>>788198
I get the same problem. It's (probably) 'cause his computer's slow and it lags behind on some of the flashier spell cards (the worst is Suika's fireball that shoots fireballs that shoot fireballs one), causing you guys to desync. It takes an annoyingly long time for it to sync back up sometimes, though. That's probably the worst part of the built-in netplay, since you have no choice but to sit there and run towards the corner.

Oh wow, incredible games, Adda.

It's been a LONG time seen I've fought Alice, especially one as good as yours. At first I was reluctant to even use barriermines because I didn't think they'd work on her. Even so, I had to do weird things with my pressure because I had no idea how you were going to move half the time. All those replays are fukken saved.

You really know how to make me wary of leaving myself open against Sakuya and Marisa. I never realized that Sakuya's 623 grazed AND had such priority. Even with the grazing frames removed from Marisa's 623, it beats out Remilia's, and that was terrible. I've got to improve my thinking with Remilia; I'm still an idiot when it comes to moving correctly with her.

That was really fun, I hope to play you again.

I started zoning out the last few matches due to being really tired, if you couldn't tell. But a lot of those matches seemed kinda one-sided, especially with Alice. Either I'm doing well or I'm getting tossed around like a rag doll. There are a lot of situations that I either have no idea what to do, or there's nothing I can do. Quite frustrating.

You MARISSABEAMU me. I was blocking, but I get hit anyway because for some odd reason the block didn't register. I get up, holding dash to graze as I get up, but for some reason, my character decides to stand there (not even teching) and do nothing, so I get hit. NEXT time dash does work so I graze and get in close.

I get close to you, and hit you with a melee attack. GREAT! Now I can do a combo. EXCEPT that suddenly I cant do anything and you escape the would-be combo or punish it.

I was dashing around like a mo-fo so much because thats the only thing that was even somewhat reliable, and half the time THAT didn't work, and I cant beat you in the air with melee if it doesnt go off half the time.

Nah, I perfer learning new characters. Part of the problem I have with Youmou is that most of her good moves are difficult for me to do on the keyboard. If you notice, on Sakuya I don't use her 623B/C much since I can never input it right.

Learn another character. Youmu is a scrub character who has no good approach except dash -> elbow over and over. She might be fun now because ANYONE can pick her up in 30 seconds, but it's boring as hell playing her after a few days. Youmu was my first main, and now I hate her with a passion, almost as much as Alice. Getting good with Youmu is basically spacing your elbows, myons, etc. and inputting the retardedly good blockstring over and over.

Well, I prefer to learn characters I like, and I happen to like Youmou. Same reason I started using Sakuya. Its not like I'm trying to enter competitions or anything, and even if I was it wouldn't be with a character that I *just started using*.

Besides, I'd rather not get caught in the trap of "this character is good, this character is bad", which is (mostly) opinion anyway

I like youmu, because melee characters is always my style, plain and simple. its the same reason suika was being a choseb for fastball spams.

Seals the weather effects from the opponent, I think. Pretty useless card, that is until you think about Suika in a Typhoon (super armor, no blocks)... or Patchi during Spring Haze (no melee, Spirit recovers almost instantly).

I can tell you one thing you're doing wrong. Your Patchy game is horrible. I saw nothing but C-spam when you should have used j.5A -> j.6A -> 5B -> 5C. Patchy can do some seriously painful stuff in the air if you get hit by her j.5A. As for your Remilia game, you use 22C too much. It's far too punishable to be used on a blocking opponent. The only good use of it I saw was when you baited the Sakuya player into running right into your spellcard. Use Remilia's 5C when dashing. You can dash cancel out of it and if it hits the opponent, you get a free combo.
