How does J-List still operate while being so ridiculously expensive?

Most of the stuff that'd be their bread 'n' butter can be easily found on other similar sites for far less DOSH.

I hate people that use the term "dosh".

4chan is not "everywhere".

Also, a google search will instantly give you other sites. Are there really enough people so dumb and lazy they won't compare just TWO sites' prices before making a $60+ purchase?

>> No.7797444

I was going to make this thread four hours ago. I was looking a Nendoroids and compared them between jlist and amazon, and the ones on jlist were literally between 3 and 6 times the price of those on amazon.

Then I saw all the other threads on 0 and decided not to.

It is simply the power of advertisement. I've seen their ads on Hong, nyaa, and others as well as here. I wouldn't be surprised if you told me they were on gaia too.

Good thing they advertise in many places that aren't 4chan.

Presumably so, yes.

J-List seems more expensive for the stuff that Amazon has in stock, but I haven't seen a Nendoroid on Amazon under thirty or one on J-List over ninety.

J-List is more expensive, but a quick look makes it seem like it's not by more than 100% or in most cases even 50%.

>> No.7799911

Just out of curiosity, are there any other sites like Jlist, but not as expensive?

The fuck is dosh? Is it a Jersey thing?

It's a Cyberpunk 2020 thing.
Maybe it's also a real thing.

J-list is mainly used for those "babby's first anime merchandise purchase" types and idiots who don't know better. There tends to be a lot of those people.

It's something the British get from killing zombies. They use it to buy weapons/ammo/armor so they can kill more zombies, and they often like to sing about dosh while they toss it at each other.

Seriously. I was at a damn con a few months ago and they had Guignol Quest for $35.

I thought they were supposed to be expensive and online shit supposed to be dirt cheap.
