Alice has ups and downs like everyone else but magician blood flows slower than that of humans, so her ups are lower and her downs are shallower.

I imagine that she would be fairly down in addition to cold if she were bored and alone, but she always has the dolls around her, and that's a kind of company. Too busy to be melancholy and all that.

Guys. What if Alice's dolls (Shanghai and Hourai) were her family? The both of them committed suicide leaving poor Alice all alone. And Alice turned them into dolls because she didn't want to be left alone. And she extensively studies magic in order to revive them.

The fact that she isn't human anymore. A youkai ages much, much slower (if at all, I'm not sure), is resistant to physical damage (except by blessed weapons) and is much more powerful with magic.
