As obvious as it was, it's commendable you saw it fit to inform others.

Now we just need some red cans to go around.

You're all so slow, it's been up for at least 15 minutes.

This makes those that posted on /ghost/ before this thread really super duper cool and hip.

>> No.7726690,1 [INTERNAL]

Posting in the archive in a thread about the archive.

>> No.7726690,2 [INTERNAL]

Easymodo CYOA game:

You are the average /jp/ poster. The archive is down with an error message that is quite obviously a technical error and not some kind of notice one would put up on purpose. Do you...
[X] Post cryingsuika.jpg, panic and make conspiracy theories
[X] Bitch on Eksopl's Formspring, where no questions have been answered recently
[X] Try to talk to Eksopl on IRC while he's marked as away
[ ] Send Eksopl an email

You explore several options. None of them has any effect. You give up, defeated.

You lose.
You got 0 out of 10 possible points. Play again? (y/n)
y

You are a deranged /a/ tripfag that only posts incoherent babble. The archive is down. Do you...
[X] Send Eksopl an email alerting him the archive is down

These days, short of using the phone, email is usually one of the best choices to contact someone. Eksopl is on holidays at the beach with no computer access, so he cannot (and does not want) to do crap like check his Formspring, read up on 4chan or get on IRC, but, like many other people, he always has access to his email, often in places like cell phones. He gets your message and promptly fixes the problem by borrowing a laptop.

YOU WIN.
You got 10 out of 10 possible points. Play again? (y/n)

>> No.7726690,3 [INTERNAL]

To reiterate: no one from /jp/ made any attempt to contact me through the method of contact that is listed on the FAQ page for this website, choosing to go about it in many roundabout ways, despite the fact that the message showing was obviously a technical error and not something purposedly done. It took one/two days for some kind of crazy rambling /a/ user to do the right thing and send an email in order to get things fixed.

You know, I used to think the autism meme was a joke,

More stuff:

-I am a gaylord who likes pens
-I love to suck pens
-When I suck pens I make this noise: SLURPSLURPSLURPSLURPSLURPSLURPSLURPSLURPSLURPSLURPSLURPSLURPSLURPSLURPSLURP and then ink shoots out

>> No.7726690,8 [INTERNAL]

>>7726690,2
You post a passive aggressive message in a ghost thread. You don't feel any better.

You don't have the best of track records on speedy mail replying, I just forgot about it. Duly noted for future issues.

>> No.7726690,9 [INTERNAL]

I was expecting people to flood your email box with questions about the ghost board, so I didn't want to bother you even more by sending another email. Sorry about that. ;_;

>> No.7726690,10 [INTERNAL]

> insinuating anyone but the idiot(s) who make conspiracy theories cares about /ghost/

/jp/ is too socially retarded to even use e-mail.

More like literally retarded. Who can't use e-mail?

>> No.7726690,14 [INTERNAL]

More like because /jp/ know Eksopl on a more personal level than /a/, so they didn't attempt the most obvious and common method to contact him. It's like if my friend were hospitalized/went on a business trip and disappeared from the internet for days, I'd send him various MSM ims and offline messages to ask why he hadn't shown up for our nightly game sessions, instead of just calling his mobile or home phone. Terrible analogy, but you get the idea.

>> No.7726690,15 [INTERNAL]

>>7726690,2
I did nothing because I assumed there would already be plenty of people contacting you anyway, so there would be no need for me to do the same too.

>> No.7726690,16 [INTERNAL]

>>7726690,15
Me too. I guess it's kind of like how a bunch of people can witness some girl getting raped in public, but nobody does anything about it because everyone assumes someone else will take care of it. Writing an email is such a huge responsibility... maybe >>7726690,11 is right.

>>7726690,14
Hahaha.

Thanks so much for all your hard work, keeping the archive alive, and for reactivating /ghost/ a while back. Some of us really enjoy reading the ghost board, so you should leave it up even though it seems shitty most of the time.

>> No.7726690,17 [INTERNAL]

I didn't do anything because you're supposed to configure your server to send you detailed error reports once something breaks instead having to rely on users.

>> No.7726690,18 [INTERNAL]

>>7726690,2
I thought the majority of /jp/ users were just patiently waiting for eksi-kun to fix the archive. It's not like it's a high-priority thing.

>> No.7726690,19 [INTERNAL]

Whining on an imageboard or forum you know the person frequents or used to frequent is the most effective and advanced form of communication, and will soon replace stone age technologies like email, instant messaging and cellphones.

>> No.7726690,20 [INTERNAL]

Sending an email to a stranger is a scary thing.
And there is no anonymity unless I purposely make a new account, you know how troublesome that is.
