So I ordered some french fries and snacks from the local snackbar, run by Chinese immigrants. While I was eating the fries, at one point I got a fishy taste in my mouth. It was disgusting. I didn't spit it out since I was in company so I had to down it with coke. Now, since I know they don't make fish dinners or snacks over there, I have been left wondering for the rest of the evening what caused my fries to have a fishy taste.

So I'm asking you /jp/, why did my fries taste like fish?

they certainly used oil that was used for fishes before the fries, i did the same thing at home, pretty weird tastes, it's like eating a fishy potato.
