Hey, /jp/. Guess what. My sister has offered to send me to Japan. There is a catch, however, as she says that the only thing she'll be paying for is my ticket and that I will be on my own once I'm there and I do not have the right to refuse. She says I need a "wake-up call" in order for me to learn how to take care of myself. I have never held down a job before outside of volunteer work and the family business, so I am at a loss for a solution. What would you do if you were in my place?

If someone offered me that right now, I would probably accept. Due to various circumstances (involving my mom wanting to push me out of the NEET life), I have that really childish desire to completely escape my previous life and start anew.

But my reason tells me it's a bad idea. There's nothing good that could come out of traveling to a country where you know no one and don't even have a visa. You'd most likely spend 3 months begging for money and looking for edibles on the street, before you get deported for overstaying your tourist visa.
