Anyone going to be playing Eden Eternal?

The next free MMO from Aeria Games. Closed Beta is in 2 days, guild system seems pretty cool. I will be playing the game solely to create a gigantic city and control part of the economy.

Final Fantasy-esque class system, where you have a main level and class levels you can switch to whenever you want.

Perhaps we could create a /jp/ guild/city if enough people are planning on trying it.

The game uses this weird uguu character art style. So I won't be able to make my little girl cute enough. That's a deal breaker for me.

Fuck aeriagames. Played games there for years.
GM's suck, managers suck, Gamesages suck and most important: The playerbases suck hard.

Also, ALL games there eventually become extremely pay2win. It gets worse and worse over time. The best example for all of that is MegaTen Online right now. You get banned for no reason.

You can't expect much from a playerbase filled with weeaboos and teenagers. I'd imagine that's partly why a /jp/ guild would be hundreds of times better than a guild with random people in game.

All these boards get shittier over time, but I'd say that the quality of /v/ and /jp/ has dropped like hell since the beginning of the year.

/a/ wasn't hit that hard, it's the best one at assimilating newfags to the board's culture.
It even recovered from the General shitstorm.

/v/ is /b/ without vidya and it's getting WAY too cool and normalfaggy.

/jp/ got overrun by invasions and /a/fagottry.
And they are here to stay.

If this game doesn't end up being shit you could create a .hack universe.

Managed to find out how to actually create a city.

1. The registering person is the guild leader
2. The guild leader is at least lv30
3. Guild is at least lv3
4. The guild has at least 30 members
5. There are less than 50 guild towns in existence
6. There is 500g in the guild bank used to purchase the town

Basically owning a city will be a guild effort, you'll have to work to be able to pay the upkeep for merchants and stuff who sell merchandise to other players who visit your town, you can also set your own tax rate. More tax = more profit.

You will also be able to build 5 specialized buildings (weaponsmith, etc?) where you can (speculation) increase the level of stuff sold, sell specialized stuff, sell stuff no one else can sell.

The biggest hurdle I see would be the member count if you don't want to invite any of the retards in the normal playerbase.

Oh and you will also be able to build statues of players in your city.

Speaking on behalf of Hotglue; I must say that the few "normals" that may or may not be in the guild on Cosmic Break does not in any way muddy the water of our future operations.

Short version;

There is a core group of about 70-85 people from /jp/ who monitor new and upcoming free to play online games. We (like gangbusters) flood said games, kick ass, and cause many a' sleepless nights for the admins. After about a month a majority of the core group get sick and tired of playing said game and quit. The few autistic few that remain are allowed to build up an empire in their image using the Hotglue brand name and any reputation/resources that the collective group produced in that month long period. We've seeded many games in this manner, ever since the /jp/ board was created (ie; years).

This game doesn't have little girl companions, which is very unfortunate.

Apart from that, due to the focus(?) of town building in the game, it's probably in the best interest of everyone to at least try and deal with having just one cohesive /jp/ guild for a bit. That way we can show off our awesome town crafting skills before we claw each other's throats out and splinter off and quit.

The best thing to do for groups (especially for those of OUR sort) is to pull some friends or acquaintances you know from elsewhere into forming a corp with you in EVE. I personally could never find a corp to play EVE in other than the one clan I happened to be in who got me into EVE, and the Hotglue spinoff corp I tried to get going a few months back which bombed from horrific /jp/ reception and subsequent lack of members.

One of the things we had planned was a wormhole expedition. If you have enough players (like 10-20ish) you can easily find a wormhole, clear out the nerds who are already there, set up a station, and set it to work mining planet resources for massive $$$ and all you have to do is fly defense and run supplies to it. I can assure you that any and all PVP, from your-one-ship-getting-ganked-by-pirates encounters to full-scale fleet encounters, will leave you in an adrenaline high.

As for skills, specialize! Don't try to be able to do everything right from the start, pick an interesting niche and train up the skills to carry it out. For instance, you can train for PVP tackling, which involves small fast ships locking down and scrambling targets so that the main fleet and catch up and wipe them. Or train for support roles like shield/hull repair. Once you get good at something, you can always branch off into other aspects until eventually you can do just about anything.

I come hours late to the party, and the name Patchouli still wasn't taken from under me. I don't even.

As much as I would have liked to try this game out with everyone, it seems my computer will not allow me to play.
Have fun, everyone.

What's the problem? PC too old? Game crashes?

>> No.7425344

>>7425328
Too old. Maybe I'll win the lottery one of these days so I can upgrade.

>> No.7425345

Love the game, but it's too laggy for me to do anything in populated areas. The only thing that doesn't lag is walk, and that's only about half the time.

Cleric is really enjoyable and the mobs spawn at a decent rate.

>> No.7425393

>>7425368
Agree. I'm loving the spawn rates. Only problem I've had is 15+ when every mob is aggresive and you can't find any safe spots to rest.

I started to play this MMO called "Ghost X"
I only finished the tutorial, it was kinda... Decent.
Then I learned I can choose my clothes and stuff, guess I'll stick here for a while.

>Eden Eternal
Looks exactly like GF and Kitsu Saga, not my cup of tea.

if it's CB, it's useless that i level up if they erase everything right ?

>> No.7425598

No... No /jp/, you won't be dragging me into yet another soul consuming MMO!
