I don't like it much, all it seems to cause is massive emotional displays of joy/rage due to the results of each match. And even worse now that it's the main heroines in the battle, that's bound to make you lose half your fans depending on the outcome.

I also don't get the tournament system, one team wins and later on they fight a team that has never fought before.

If you don't know what a bye is, it's basically when a participant goes to the next round without participating in the previous one due to some reason. The one here being that the initial number of participant teams not being a power of 2.

That's highly unlikely since they're facing off in the current match which isn't the last.

In all likelhood though, the last match will most likely be Suika and Sakuya versus Reimu and Remilia if you remember how the story began.

You know how her match with Flandre and Meiling was decided on a poll? That's pretty much destroyed any chance of her being the winner of this whole thing.

If she won with a poll then that meant the winner of that match is not particularly important for the story. If you argue that the writer doesn't really have the other matches winners determined then why not have polls for those matches as well?

Sanae and Suwako are very likely to lose their next match.

I will give the writer credit for making Kaguya a very good heel. My inner mark is raging at her still being alive in the tournament.

But ultimately there's only one team I can give even half a damn about at this point.
