Seriously, the only thing you need to care about is the fact that everyone who actually contributed the wiki wanted to get away from there and they did.

Maybe they had bad or silly reasons to do so (But seriously, would you ever choose the goddamn wikia over any alternative? Really?), but as long as they are actually working on their version, while Wikia stays barren and infested with... that thing OP links to, they are in the right by default.

The drama is short and sweet. Basically, wikia forced every wiki under their domain to adopt a retarded format that everyone hated, and which made browsing the actual contents of the wiki difficult. All the people who contribute to the wiki decided that they hated it, and rightly so, and left wikia to set up a more usable wiki at http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Touhou_Wiki

After that the wikia administration flipped its shit, and started up edit wars to keep the users from putting up the move notice on the front page of the wikia because they like money from web traffic, and proceeded to shit up the old and busted wikia further by handing control over to some random guy who has no clue what he is doing.

Didn't Wikia go down for a while a couple months ago and lack recent backups? I remember /m/ putting together a pretty great source for information on a game that had just been released, then then site went down. When things came back with that terrible design and most material wiped, it was pretty much over.
