Finally, FINALLY I got to finish that without continues. I feel so good it hurts.

That's cool and all but you're still a secondaryfag until you pretend you can beat every game on Lunatic and become a whiny bitch on /jp/.

Good job, OP. Which stage gave you the most trouble?

No. Get the fuck out.

I'd say the fifth. I could get up to the final boss without having been hit ONCE, and I'd just lose 5/6 lives there. Even this one time I won, I lost maybe 3 lives to her.

Going to try the extra now?
With which character did you clear it by the way?

Reimu with homing amulet, I used Marisa with the lasers (forgot what it's called) at first, but that meant I'd have to stay concentrated in some parts that with Reimu, just require me to keep pressing Z and sailing away.
Kind of scared of trying the extra stage right now, I'll give myself at least 15 minutes to calm down first.

Ahh. I really should get back to trying to beat EoSD. I got sidetracked when I decided to tackle the PC98 games and haven't touched EoSD in months

Strangely enough, the two biggest problem areas I always had was midboss-edition Meiling and those books that fill the screen with danmaku right before Koakuma in stage 3. Always always ALWAYS lost a life to those two spots, and then I would always get demoralized and quit because I figured I'd have no chance vs Sakuya

Pic vaguely related since I always played Marisa

It is a great feeling, isn't it?
Beating extra for the first time gives a similar feeling.

Too bad I haven't gotten the feeling after the first time, even in the next games or on harder difficulties.

I felt like I improved a lot when I got crazy with the bombs. Everytime I felt like I couldn't do it, I'd just bomb; if you think that everytime you lose a life you get three new bombs, you could probably say that a bomb is worth 1/3 of a life.

>> No.7318252

That sounds nice, I'm still losing lives where I shouldn't. I might give it a go again sometime today.

you are dead to me

OP here.
Attempted extra stage. I don't think I'll be sleeping for the next few days.

starting with how many lives?

Well, it's three little red stars, but would it count as four?

It's hard to call normal 1cc "an achievement" unless its not sa or ufo.

>> No.7318879

>>7318827

Whatever you want to believe Dick-Waving-kun. A lot of people can't even beat SA or UFO on normal using continues at all and have to resort to easy modo.
