CAVE has never been exceptionally good, but daifukkatsu is just HUURRRR in every way. Even Touhou requires moving around the screen to collect items, hit enemies, and dodge, but daifukkatsu is just slowly streaming during stages and moving at little as possible during bosses. The shots are so fucking wide and powerful you can stand in the center bottom and hit everything.

I think CAVE are hoping for Akai Katana to get picked up too. Considering MMP and Pink Sweets pack is region free and this isn't, as well as it seeming like a lot of effort has gone into this release, it wouldn't surprise me if someone picks it up.

Doubt it will be Aksys though!

Muchi Muchi Pork is probably the funnest CAVE game ever. I love it.

I have heard that Aksys and CAVE are perhaps not so friendly after the Deathsmiles thing. Some bad things happened to their relationship during that I believe.

As for the market in the West, yeah there isn't a big market. CAVE routinely fuck up their chances too. Guwange on XBLA was handled poorly and it wasn't advertised well really.

Yeah, I feel the same about Nin2.

I can't get into Trouble Witches for whatever reason. Slowing down bullets to cancel them into coins or whatever, eh. Not really my cup of tea. I'm going to spend some more time with it.

Also, Strania from G.Rev was quite fun. I know some people were dissapointed or didn't like it, but I enjoy it. Hopefully they will release some of their older titles on XBLA.

It isn't a shmup (but has bullet patterns) but I am pleasantly surprised with Outland. Very Ikaruga-ish but I'm enjoying it. I just wish it was a bit faster paced and perhaps more difficult.

Daifukkatsu 1.5 is really the CAVE game I like the least so far. Akai Katana is quite good though, I hope the zetsu mode improves upon the standard arcade mode.
DFK BL is pretty good as well, although I don't like that most of the score seems to come from shooting the boss in full red mode.

Well, if you're playing for survival instead of score it's advantageous to not use hypers anyways, because of rank.

I actually preferred the iPhone port of DFK over the 360 release. So many people hated the scoring system in the iPhone arrange, but I thought it was really good.

Has anyone else played the DFK BL Arrange? Ketsupachi or whatever you want to call it. The game has already been pretty much destroyed by SIN but fuck. This is some serious fun. I absolutely love Ketsui's scoring system and when I first played the Arrange it gave me the feeling of playing Ketsui for the first time again. So much fun and the soundtrack is awesome.

If you guys didn't know Muchi Muchi Pork and Pink Sweets pack is region free and awesome. I'd suggest picking it up!
