She compensates with wideness, which matters equally when dodging. Just wait until ENCB gets Albatreos, he's a L ART but you can get him about the size of a S ART. It makes his profile so low that his arms/weapons are underground, but he still has a huge hitbox in form of his wing missile pods.

That's Albatreos' main appeal though, being a tiny L ART which you can easily tune to 40FLY and dodge around, he has Float Dash, a ton of inbuilt missiles (think the Misside AM ones except with 480 ammo or so) and Toybox-style cruisemissiles too.

He fires 6 pulse missiles, but they have very low force.

Air Raider is so much better. Even with his 2 pulse missiles, I can do 40+ dmg per hit on LND. But with Pulse Cluster, I'm lucky if I do 20 dmg. The reason for this is that Air Raider has tightly clustered shots. Not to mention that you run out very quickly of shots. Much faster than Air Raider even.

His sub is actually quite strong. I could easily do 30-40 damage on a good hit. Even though it's very hard to actually hit anything, it makes up for it with range and damage. However, the ammo for that is also very low. Capacity is also an issue from the get-go.

Overall, it feels like a gimped version of Air Raider. Psycho Cluster looks very cool, but that's about it.

That's incorrect. Air Raider's missiles are very tight together, so you could get away with saying they have 22 force. Pulse Cluster's missiles don' have "36 force" by any stretch.

14 core tgh, which is really useful because tuning for tgh is slot and cost restrictive. Somewhat low core tec but realistically tec doesn't mean that much. He also has a lot of extra cap to use and an built-in lumberjacking weapon. Good cart selection. Geograsis F-type is better overall but not by much.

I can't shake the feeling that CS missed a golden oppurtunity by making the new fangirls gara bots. They would fit so perfectly into what this game needs as shop bots.

They are solid bots that can perform well without being OP but most importantly they are incredibly well designed in their appearance. Advertise the crap out of them all over the place, get new people into the game, and then actually allow those new people to own the bots that lured them into the game for $10, $12, maybe even $15. Then as they enjoy their delicious Moebots and the game, dangle new even more delicious ones in front of them for the gara.

Instead CS chose to put them into one of the biggest bullshit garapons they ever concieved. I just don't understand.

I don't think you understand. Seraph wings let you fly for a very long time. That means you can circle above the enemy with impunity because you don't have to recover your boost. I don't care if you have 40 FLY. FLY doesn't do shit to your boost, it only makes you fly faster.

Not to mention, the invincibility frames when activating it is incredibly overpowered.

You know it's fucking bullshit when crimroses can circle around the enemy's PS and dodge all the missiles, soundballs, and blast bazooka just through the simple act of flying in a circle.

you're overrating how useful this actually is. unlimited fly from seraph wings or shaden boosters is really only useful at high altitude. how much damage is a seraph going to be doing from high altitude without a bombardment weapon? not much. brickgale booster is a far more useful ability for small air.

I'm pretty sure by making the gara blue-balls free and hyping it so hard, they made money hand over fist. Look at how many people rolled the piss out of it the first day! I've seen pretty much every new moebot at least 3-4 times.

If someone wanted to "collect the whole set" of $15 fangirls you'd spend $60... now, while that might make a lot of paying customers happy, the "no root scrubs" are still going to run screaming for the exits. Make it a gara, maybe fewer people will be willing to roll, but those that do drop upwards of $200 to get the whole set. I was also rolling for a C.S. (which I finally fucking got on my LAST, desperate 1x roll) so I probably could have gotten all 4, but I still lack a Byne Girl. Another guy I know also has all 3 except for A-girl and spent $200 pretty much exclusively on SUGOI rolls.

The TL;DR version of this is I'm pretty sure the gara made them a shitload of money. It's an interesting question, though, and I think I may ask Tempura during the radio show what day 1 of Malice vs Day 1 of SUGOI brought them in.

Honestly? I think I already know the answer, and it's not even anywhere close.

On the subject of Pulse Cluster. At full internal carts, his sub shoots some sort of electrical ball.

This ball shoots towards the bottom, but you have be far enough for it to hit at someone below you. Don't even bother trying to use it against someone above you, it won't even try. However, the side-to-side homing appears to be extremely good.

I swear, this picture here is exactly the path that the projectile took. My jaw dropped when I saw that shit zig-zag like that. I've never seen anything like that before. Maybe it was a fluke, I don't know. But this did happen to me.

In my opinion, the 6 pulse missiles are just a sideshow for the sub beam weapon.

If they can get something they want for a minimal investment of around $10 they are much more willing to make that jump than if they would be required to roll for it. You could make the argument that there's already bots in the cash shop that do this, but I'm not sure any of them do it to the effect the new fan girls would. I could really see them drawing a crowd. Nicole was a great first step actually, I just think they could have expanded on it. It's certainly not too late though. Maxis girl, Sigma clock girl, and Hound Dog girl for cash shop!

Garapon is their bread and butter. They make 20x more money on it than Rt shop if not more. To make a profit they can either release something to the shop and make $200 off the 20 players that'll buy one or they can make $4000 off the 20 players that'll roll for one. Sure they piss off the average player and widen the gap between those with money and those without but why should they care? They got $4000. The game's longevity is no concern of theirs so long as they can still dupe a few players into blowing cash for garapon.

It'll never change and Cyberstep simply doesn't care.

CB would be great if it had trading of RT items. Sure, I know CS makes their money by forcing players to pay a lot of money to get that one bot. But I think taking a profit hit would be worth it for the enjoyment of the player base.

There are many MMOs out there that have luck-based cash shops. But unlike CB, they allow players to trade those items.

I absolutely loathe to say this because I'll immediately be accused of sucking Tempura's dick, but I'd much rather give my money to a game like CB where you actually have a GM radio where they answer questions, and it's clear that they actually take player base suggestions SOMETIMES.

Pangya is an epic example of what to do in an MMO. They allow the buying, selling, and trading of everything except gacha items. Free pang items are sometimes as good as cash items, they simply require a higher level to buy them. And there are events all the time either to get cash items or items that are unique and good enough the players go apeshit to get them.

Like last week's pang medals. You could trade them for items to make Nell's SSAF outfit which is a very rare outfit for all other characters AND they gave away gacha coins, scratchy cards, and anniversary boxes as part of the campaign.

That would be equivalent of running an event in CB where you grind missions or arenas or something and get 5 free spins of garapon and a Patty Lop.

And what do they get out of it? A player base that's as large now as it was 6 years ago and people constantly putting cash into the system for new items.

Every time new outfits are released in the shop for cash I see them within hours. Cyberstep is doing it WRONG.

I played around with the sub on training arena. It's very hard to hit things on ground because of the minimum range of the weapon. What's worse is that as a sub, you move forward so it's very easy to end too close to the enemy and miss. Also this behaviour is going to aggravate when you have more fly.
I haven't tested it on flying things, but this weapon could be perfect to hit airs that are running away at the same height as you (the times I tried to chase seraphs and not even garula arms were fast enough to hit them).

That is certainly an issue that should be addressed since something is clearly amiss when you can leisurely float around with a 20FLY L AIR and still enjoy complete impunity on ENCB, but Nicole Malice helped a lot with both this and the other open wound about gameplay in hoppers. It can be argued that one hopper isn't much against a good team, but JPCB often sees half a dozen people hopping around the enemy powerspot all at once, and they provide more than enough time for the remaining ART/AIR to wail on the the powerspot while the other team is distracted. With Nicole around, at least hoppers think twice before rushing, and Booster Drain gives even AIR units a maximum of 6s airtime to bring their flight capabilities down to the level of the other three types, which have circa 4s airtime.

ART itself should just be played carefully against AIR to avoid Air Raider bursts and Slayer Bits, your job is essentially to discourage any unit from entering your territory, preferably while on a ledge. It is unwise to get greedy with your hits against AIR, since any ART worth his salt will do 100+ damage when he does catch an AIR off-guard anyway. It could be useful to watch Glacier Night and Metal Barracks fights on JPCB, since competent ART players really shine there.

The reason ART does not seem equal might be the odd prevalence of melee LND on ENCB which normally aren't a hassle but easily mow down people unfamiliar with the game, which is to say a significant portion on ENCB. After the game settles doen a bit, there's no reason not to think that ART units will surge in popularity to match LND and AIR.

From my experience AIR, ART and LND are about equal in popularity in JPCB, with AIR edging out slightly, but I might be overestimating because I give high priority to AIR units on radar. In contrast, you'll often only see a SUP or two in a match.

A casino can't rely entirely on high rollers. It also needs to attract people who shoot low.

Garapon should be for the high rollers and then something else should exists for low-RT charging/paying people so that Cyberstep can benefit from much more numerous transactions that aren't as high, but is accessible.

Suppose there is a weekly or a bi-weekly "shop special" bot that can be bought with RT. Like what if they had a 1-slot (mostly parts-locked) Scaregant at 100 RT? Or say a 1 or 2-slot almost-all-partlocked Aquila Girl for 120 RT?

For a weapons example, a 3-slot beam accel gun or 3-slot flare star directly buyable for RT for 1 week only?
