I tried Reimu and she couldn't bomb as well. Switched back to Youmu and she also couldn't bomb anymore.

Restarted the game and everything was functioning again. Didn't bother going far enough to test dialogue though.

I'm not sure I've liked the spells much, the patterns didn't strike me as impressive. Stage 2 the best overall, both boss and music.
Also, was the death system really necessary? I got myself killed while getting blue thingies during a spell and still managed to capture it thanks to these 10 seconds it gave me.

Basically, the little blue spirits increase the point gain from points items. Purple gives lives, and green gives bombs. The gray ones increase the spirit gauge thing.

The little spirit meter auto activates when you die (if you have a level in it), but can also be activated if you're at max level with C or whatever you bind to "Trance" in the options menu . Any blue spirits you pick up will be worth 10 times as much, and bomb and life spirits are worth double.

Overall, I don't like it because the spirits stay in place and you have to practically ram he boss to collect them in between spell cards.

I couldn't play UFO.
The fucking little cunts floating around the screen, changing colors, flashing, making little noises just distracted me too much. My mind would tell me to PICK THAT SHIT UP, but every time I tried I'd end up regretting it.
In the cases where I don't pick them up there's always 3 floating around the screen pissing the hell out of me.
At least with the spirits in Ten Desires they're not as visually noisy and stay in place.

Kyouko is like a flat-chestedly animal-eared Niori with a broom. I don't find her interesting. But I do like her spell, maybe the ability has something to do with "boundary" or "invisible wall".
Miyako on the other hand looks good and new, but her danmaku is... bleh.

I found Youmu's focus is amusing, it's very good at clearing the map, but fairly useless in boss fight. However, her "near-dead" skill can fuck any boss and it's good.

Youmu is fucking awesome. The charge attack is amazing. I was skeptical about having a melee attack in Touhou, but it WORKS.

Maybe it's a new character. I can think of a few prominent vengeful dead in Japan's history. One example is Taira no Masakado, who was caught and beheaded for instigating a rebellion, but his desire to see his will done was so strong that his head remained alive, flying/hopping to Tokyo like a bizarre samurai yukkuri. Maybe you'll have loli Masakado with a detached head as the Stage 6 boss this time. Of course, art of her disembodied head performing cunnilingus on her body would soon appear.

Speaking of detached heads, ZUN should make a nukekubi Touhou. Those are vampires with red globules around their necks, the Pokemon Misdreavus is based on them. After dusk, they can seperate their heads from those "seams" to fly into the night, looking for small insects and birds to eat, though they also drink human blood if they can find a suitable victim. If they fail to return to their bodies by dawn, they bounce on the ground thrice and die, so hiding the body whilst the head is away is the standard tactic to defeating them (so you could do this to a nukekubi loli and demand her to have sex with you in return for her body.) I guess her head and body would have seperate patterns each, and at least one of her cards would feature her head chasing after you while the body keeps shooting.
