/jp/, It's time for a social experiment.

You are presented with two switches, you can only press one.


SWITCH 1:
The first switch when pressed transfers you into the 2D world were your waifu resides. You will live in that universe for all eternity and your soul will abide by it's rules. You will meet your waifu and live happily ever after in perfect love.


SWITCH 2:
The second switch when pressed rewrites the laws of this world. It is now impossible for women to look less than 7/10 in looks. Their 3DPD selfish personalities are switched to 2D personalities. These rules will also apply to all human females to be born from this point on. Your choice of magic, esper abilities, or science that can break the laws of thermodynamics becomes real.

If I could, I wouldn't press either. #1 doesn't appeal to me as I'm incapable of love and thus don't have a waifu, and #2 disgusts me as it entails mind control.
#2 however entails the elimination of the 2nd law of thermodynamics, and tempts me. However, what I perceive to be it's downsides outweigh that to me (Since it implies mind control of all women forever).

If I have to press one, I press #1 since that doesn't entail what I think is evil.

The problem with option 1 is that what you're really asking is to reincarnate and manifest into the imagination of a balding 35 year old Japanese man, who gives you a personality and appearance exactly like your current one and writes you into your waifu's game/manga/anime as her one true pairing.

But to the viewers of your world, given your personality and complete lack of redeeming main-character-esque traits, demanding unconditional everlasting love from your waifu is no different from brainwashing and slavery. You'll be the object of hate and derision by fans everywhere, who will carve up your "world" with ridicule and abuse (memes, NTR doujins starring you). These would become so commonplace that even your god (Tanaka, age 35) would be tempted to make it canon, or destroy it all together--"it," to you being "reality".

With option 2, three things would happen:
1. The 7/10s would become the new 0/10s, causing an massive influx of women with inferiority complexes and psychotic cosmetic surgeons
2. 3.4 billion women divided into a generous 100 unique 2D personalities yields 34 million women who are completely identical other than their hair color. All girls become subhuman, as the individual loses her value.
3. Esper powers would mean the end of society as we know it. No stable civilization can ever exist where everyone is given handheld perpetual energy.

Defining 2D personalities, are you saying canonised, well worn cardboard cutouts, or people personalities only with story logic?

Is every personality from every work of fiction ever made eligible? Just Japanese media? VN only?

The only practical difference between real people personalities and the boadest definition of 2D personalities is that absolutes of all emotions exist, which is a big plus.

Also, magic is oh-so exploitable. 2 definitely, and then I would use magic to change myself into a person I would enjyo being, that would be able to spread enjoyment to others.
