How are you preparing your ZUN muscles for TH13?

Me? I'm just putting myself through Lunatic bootcamp.
Never actually played Lunatic before but after a couple days of nonstop toohoos i'm now able to at least get to a stage 4 without needing to use a continue.

I 1cc'd IN + extra stage for the first time a week ago and know i'm trying to kill Utsuho without using continues.

It's too hard for me so I guess i'll just play UFO, wich for some reason is really easy for me.

Been trying to do no death/bomb scoring runs of hard stages like UFO Stage 5 on Lunatic. Down to a single death on one of Shou's noncards and ~283M. Pretty frustrating.

I've been trying MoF, SA and UFO hard, which are the only ones I haven't done yet. I though MoF would be a breeze but damn, even with over bombing I still take some hits in stage 4. And for some reason I can't handle Aya's spells. I miss Murasa, her stage was hell along with the UFOs on hard but her attacks/spells were much easier.

I've also done a few more spells in DS which I'd skipped.

Actually, I plan on 1CC'ing UFO on normal and completing the extra within 3 weeks (I've actually tried the extra on another score.dat and everything except the stage itself seems a little above IN's extra.)

Now I mean easier than SA or UFO is fine by me, but if its easier than EoSD or MoF? I dunno, maybe theres some sort of neat gimmick that will make up for it. Although.. I wouldn't mind taking it easy if the music is really good this time around.

I'm waiting for the demo. No playing yet. I suck at the games, and I've been trying but ever since my 1cc of MoF normal I haven't had the motivation to go on much further. TH13 is my new beginning, where I shall rise above the challenges and finally improve. My goal? 1cc Lunatic and beat the extra.

Come again? As for me, nothing. I'll wait for it to come out then practice on that. Your post was a good source of inspiration for a challenge run, though. Wouldn't consider it good practice because it's PCB, but nevermind that. I'll go ahead and play it.

Fun to play but it's a bit sad the difficulty level is based on endurance and memorization rather than carefully designed levels.
I like the music, though.

Some stages get easier when you memorize but back when I started even knowing every bit of EoSD I still died a lot, while today it's a breeze to do it. It's not all about memorization, today I think what makes a bigger difference is the dodging techniques I've picked up (like streaming) and better read of the patterns.
