Felt I should post this here. I can barely tell it's not human. I might even be fooled if it wasn't for being told by the tags/producer/etc. There are a few points that give it away(such as sound shifts that are too sudden), but overall it seems very hard to tell the difference. Maybe I'm just getting too used to Vocaloid voices

I can always tell the difference between a vocaloid program and a real person because the vocaloid has no energy, no passion. You can easily pick it out as the "limp" sounding singer.

in japanese the R/L sounds are combined so when romanizing R and L get mixed up. This particular case has the artist not paying attention to official romanization. "flied rice" is a stereotypical example of the problem.

Those are just about the worst, most ill-defined arguments you can possibly make(it's just sound, not something unreproducible by computers although Vocaloid can't do it perfectly yet), but you're entitled to your opinion even if it does boil down to you virtually arguing magic in order to pinpoint that "something" which makes Vocaloid different from a human singer. Note that I am not denying that the difference exists, although I am of the opinion that it has more to do with the subtle physical aspects of the human voice such as the use of air and limitations of human vocal chords which a Vocaloid producer would have to both understand and imitate intentionally.

I'd be interested to see if you could have discriminated immediately without being told beforehand. I doubt most people could in that song's case, not until a quarter to halfway in. But there's really no use in thinking about that since there'd be no way to prove it.

Either way, even if they don't sound like humans, I guess I've acquired a taste for the way they do sound. Not sure if I'm happy about that. Maybe it's just that when I hear that it's not a human voice, I don't try to identify with it as something with human nature(something I don't view in a positive light).

I don't like the image of Miku as an idol. I prefer to imagine something outside of most social concepts.

I can't believe in most of the emotional, cute, happy, and/or innocent lyrics that she sings with her existing as a person or too deeply in society.

I imagine an unrestricted yet simple life alone with her in which I can believe she actually feels what she sings and is as charming as she acts. I can't really take anyone that's been exposed to or limited by real life at face value if they try to act/talk sweetly.

The only one I listen to is Luka. Most of the vocaloids sound like chipmunks and the UTAUs all sound like robots doing karaoke. Megpoid is good on occasion, depends on the song.
