But OP raises an interesting point.
I'd rather have dakimakura with one awake side and one sleeping side. I'm not going to hump and desecrate an image of my pure waifu, I do not require the naked side. This, along with the unpopularity of my waifu, are the reasons I do not own a dakikakura.

I printed my own Sanya cover. I'm not wonderful at it, but I drew her laying on her side sleeping. Her front on one side, back on the other. Then overstuffed the pillow and cut/sewed it to her height.
