People realized that EoSD is a fucking decade old, and that it's probably time to move on. Seeing how resistant to change Japanese are to changing something that "works" and changing a general consensus, it's kind of surprising to me that they aren't going to stick with EoSD until the day they die. Although it's probably less of a conscious decision and more like SA is just that fucking good.

You can also look at how in Saimoe, the same character doesn't win every year if she qualifies; it'd get boring if it's the same winner over and over.

IN gets trolled to hell and back here on /jp/, but I feel its the best game in the series. So many different teams and characters, alternate stage bosses, spell practice mode, final spell, etc. The music is fantastic as well.

I don't know what you're trying to say about PCB. Yuyuko using it all up in one day doesn't mean she just had a days worth of spring, if that's what you mean. Either way, if it was used up, it wouldn't be coming back.

It is specifically stated in the MoF prologue that the Hakurei Shrine must not close down, which the Moriya Shrine was trying to do, due to it's role with the barrier.

The mist wasn't deadly (yet), but again, it was making it so people couldn't leave their homes. Maybe you can't breath in it, maybe it dissolves your skin, maybe it just itches a little, but it was steadily getting worse. Who knows how bad it would get. This isn't considering the whole blotting out the sun thing.

Utsuho however, her ability is more concrete as is manipulation of something physically manuverable rather than something more on the conceptual side, of course this is shown with her control of the underground reactor.

Yuyuko doesn't go around instakilling people for fun. I remember reading she is quite responsible of her powers and reluctant to ever use it. One of the reasons (if not the only reason, though I think there was something with the Saigyou Ayakashi) she commited suicide was that she was afraid of her own powers.

Nevertheless, because of that, Yuyuko isn't nearly as dangerous as the batshit insane Utsusho, but more powerful? I don't know about that.
