Adding to this, I fucking knew I forgot the elephant in the room (in my mind at least), Okuu. Ostensibly the coolest design ZUN's ever done, imo. It seems some people are put off by the giant eye and the nuclear control rod arm-cannon, but I think those traits are precisely what make her so cool. Those, and the cape/wings combo. You could give pretty much anyone a cape that's like a window into deep space, and they'd become cool.

Satori's colors clash, while Koishi's are nice. Satori makes the outfit look like pajamas; her headband doesn't bring the outfit together and complement her mindreading dooleybopper nearly as well as Koishi's hat does.

Flan and Cirno are both pretty good since they have unique wings. Flan has better head gear. Both have the best feet in all of Gensokyo.

Ran is always good because of all her tails, they make or break her pictures.

Reimu is fun because of her arm pits, there not enough arm pit porn out there.

I vote this, if you have any sort of talent. CHINA, though shes got disgusting cancerous lumps, shes has great hair potential. Shes got a nice design but the people who draw her always half ass her. Shes athletic, shes cute, shes got a uniform.

Ever seen that figure of Saber where shes got a petite body yet with so much tone she looks like she was chipped from stone? Thats how I imagine Chinas body would look. Add glorious hair and multiply it by how much moment a China fight would have, and you have a potential masterpiece.

Obviously not. There are small "off" details and other flaws everywhere.

The only way for them to perfectly emulate alphes would be to practically copypaste his art, which is obviously not matching up.

Instead of worrying about flaws, if you copy an artist and take it in directions the original hadn't, that's branching off in your own style. No one said it had to be off-the-wall bonkers original to be good.
