Good to know. I'm a very casual fighter player so I don't know the various communities and didn't know where I could discuss hacking them at. I'll keep that in mind in the future.

Here's v4 of the exe. It includes a fixed window mode (will proper resize it) and it includes nonotan's fixed controls. As an added bonus, I threw in something I found when I first started poking at the game. Press F11 in a fight for testing mode. Stats (time, health, stuff like that) are frozen and the background disappears but you can also the hitboxes. Hopefully this is useful to some of the more hardcore players but it's pretty useless for me. I have no idea what bugs could show up when in that mode.

I don't mean to thread hijack, but has anyone tried downloading and installing Umineko for PS3? Specifically, the one from nyaatorrents.

As far as I can tell, I'm supposed to use Auto Mod Tool and create a package. I'm using Auto Mod Tool 0.9.5 RC2.

I do this, load the .pkg to a USB drive, and install it on my PS3. No problems there, it creates a Umineko shortcut for me.

Then I load up blackbox FTP on my PS3, transfer the file to /dev_hdd0/BLJM6029/USRDIR/DATA.ROM (not BLJM60292, but I've tried both and neither work), close the FTP and try to load the game. Black screen.

I've tried various other things, such as installing the .pkg file before and after the process, but I don't think this matters.

If anyone can help, please, let me know, this is driving me insane.

Well, the first program you linked is dead useless. It's asking for a temporary eboot file which it created, which exists, which is the exact same size as the original eboot, but it can't find it.

The second program also can't find eboot.bin even though it's right there. I even extracted it from the .iso again in case it had corrupted.

The console sprites are the same, but the games have three aspect ratio modes:
4:3 with character animations on the borders
4:3 without character animations
and 16:9 where the meter layout and background are adjusted

i didn't say anything about sprites. they're stretched to fit like melty blood's 320x240 scale sprites were stretched to 640x480 resolution.

the artwork, lifebars etc are in higher resolution, and the backgrounds have a larger version for widescreen mode i think.

Thanks to who ever put this out, I just got done playing a few arcade run throughs and enjoyed it. Says a lot since I'm not the biggest doujin type of fighter fan.

Any word when someone will do this kind of emulation for KoF13? Last I heard the producer for the game checked out, and didn't leave much hope for a console release.

But it may very well simply be a slip of tounge or something. As in, they may have gotten official information, but were perhaps supposed to wait until announcing it or something.
Eventhough it may perhaps not be the most reliable thing in the world, I doubt a retailer would publish bullshit on their site like that.

The thing about it being approximately 6 months from the Japanese release also strikes me as an indicator, as 6 months has been around the time they have given themselves to work with on previous titles such as BB CT/CS.

I have hopes for this.
