Think of it as her having severe combined immunodeficiency. In fact, a SCID heroine would be great, just set the story to a time before the cure is found. She'd be a shy little girl who cannot leave the sterile bubble she lives in and doesn't have any idea of the outside world besides what she read in books. She'd also know a great deal about diseases due to her condition and would have a great fear of them, but she wouldn't really know what all germs look like, so she'd even try to hide under her bed in order to escape them. Think David Vetter (the famous boy in the bubble) except as a girl.

We already had this on /v/ a long time ago.

The general consensus was that it wouldn't matter, because giving her my baby batter would replenish her immune system, and she would need a good daily dose I'd be happy to give.
