DO I UNDERSTAND CORRECTLY THAT JP = A + V? I MEAN PEOPLE HERE PLAY VIDEO GAMES AND WATCH ANIME...

>> No.6773625

I don't watch anime, and so do many people here.
And there are those that don't play games either, not even touhou/VN.

Some here, just vocaloid/jap music/dramas

You've got some /w/ as well, although I imagine they lurk here as much as they do there..

Most of people I've seen here are VNfags or Touhoufags.
VN = Animu geemu
Touhou = Animu geemu

>> No.6773682

I've always wondered.. Are there Touhou fans or VN fans who hate animu/manga?

Yeah, and Tolkien's LotR is a table-top roleplaying game because it starred amazing artwork from many different artists, come together with side material and works describing the mechanics, setting and general workings of the world itself, its inhabitants and all the the fantastic races included.

Meaning, that /lit/ is /tg/, right?
Makes sense, right?

>do VNfags and Touhoufags watch animu or not?
I don't.
I frequently read VNs, both translated and non-translated, and I am also a vivid follower of Doujin games and
Indie works in general.
But no, I don't particuarly watch anime at all, it happens that I do it as some kind of passtime while I am doing something else though, otherwise I don't watch many kinds of movies at all, and when I do it is usually not "anime".
So why do you assume that these people certainly watch anime? Personally I find that the quality is far too low for most, and I have real troubles to enjoy most "serious" shows as they aren't quite up to par in the end anyway, thus non-serious comic relief shows are far more suitable to watch while eating or whatever as they don't exactly get any worse than how they already are, and they may be kind of shallow to begin with. But yet again, why anime?

>> No.6773806

>>6773765
Well, lots of VNs have anime adaptions and both Touhou and VNs have anime-style artwork, maybe it's just my imagination but I've always thought that doujin games, VNs and animes are very related.

>> No.6773820

>>6773806
Everything is related. Most people do everything, read manga, watch anime, play eroge and other Japanese games, especially doujin ones.

>lots of VNs have anime adaptions
You said it yourself, "lots" as in not all.
But it is also common to not be that much of a fan if the adaptations are inferior, as they generally are by following the Original > Adaptation rule.
Many might become fans of the originals due to the adaptations, but the opposite is far more rare. In either case, this is irrelevant to anime/manga/vns/games as Originals and Adaptations apply to all kinds of media.

>VNs have anime-style artwork
Artstyle has nothing to do with media, if you are sold by the artstyle alone then I cannot think of anything other than a biased weeaboo. Most people judge what they like after the quality of things, or so I believe.

>but I've always thought that doujin games, VNs and animes are very related.
The truth is that fiction in general is related to eachother, doesn't mean everyone swallows everything though.

>> No.6773895

Most people who read VNs don't watch anime. VNs provide a certain amount of detail and atmosphere that anime just can't compare to.

That way we would only have to put up with antivirus and Onion spam.
