I knew this years ago. Just a bunch of outspoken yurifags spinning disinformation that Marimite is yuri

That's fine, Sei is lesbian enough for 10 series.

>> No.6716378

Still, it was so good that I cried like a girl while watching them striving to solve their girly and ridiculous problems.
Heterosexual my balls: Sachiko is forced to marry a man that she finds disgusting and is obviously lesbo for Yumi.
Yumi, on the contrary, is simply a normal girl with a great admiration towards her Soeur.

I think they are bi.

I don't know about /u/, but my yuri admiration has evolved to the point of finding deep-rooted friendship and admiration between two girls better than lesbianism. Who cares if they don't want to get into each other's pants, romantic friendship between two girls is even better.

Sachiko's probably straight. I think Yumi has The Gay, though.

So now you've just become completely pathetic.

>> No.6716490

though in Japan it's considered comparatively "normal" (or, at least not that of a social stigma) for a girl to have romantic feelings toward another girl when she's young, it comes from the whole model idealization thing, see how they usually use "akogare" instead of love or like. It's seen as something quite childish that will fade with time, though.

Feelings and shit are 10x better than a crappy lesbo plot with panties and embarassing situations just there for fanservice.

>> No.6716620

strawberry panic >>> marimite

>> No.6716636

Marmite simply uses the tried and proven formula of "lite yuri". They keep dangling this unresolved romantic tension in front of the viewer like a rubber mouse in front of the cat.

The cat can't take its eyes off the mouse. The cat knows the mouse is just a toy, but it is intrigued by it, its emotions and instincts taking over its rational brain prevent it from averting its eyes. The cat knows the mouse will never progress from romantic feelings to sexual overtures but it is too enthralled.

Then the Toukou arc comes along and the cat goes "D'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW".

partly agreed. Season 3 OVA were the best overall, but the earlier seasons had its moments.

Personally, I loved how Season 3 moved away from the complicated girl drama and more into laid-back slice of life with cute demure girls doing unusual things like running a marathon or going on a trip to Europe.

HETEROSEXUAL MARIMITE PAIRING BLAST

>> No.6716928

I always find it hilarious how the feminazi dykes say that Marimite is shit and SP is awesome because yuri subtext = repression of lesbians, they only tolerate blatant yuri regardless the quality of the show otherwise.

Nice troll, bro. Strawberry panic is worth a watch for shits and giggles but nothing more.

Anyway, I thought the 4th season was the best one, I absolutely adored the whole Touko plot, too bad they had to cut out a lot of stuff concerning the other characters.

He flirts with Yumi's brother a lot, just like Sei does with Yumi. In fact Sei's dislike of him partly stems from the fact that they're so alike.
