Hello, Moot, thanks for taking the time to open and read this email.
If you're willing, can you read it to the very end, I've attempted to keep it from being too long and time consuming.

Main Idea of the email
I was posting on 4chan using a signature. By signature, just silly text I added to the end of each of my posts. The signature read:

94% of people on /a/ watch shit anime like k-on, lucky star, Haruhi, Clannad, Oreimo, Accelerator, Etc. Copy and paste this into your signature if you're one of the 6% who don't."'

The signature is part of the identity I took on, as a tripfag. And I know that the content of the signature itself may be fairly offensive, but that's not really what I care about or what I think is a problem. What bothers me is that I've been banned from /a/ three times, not because of the opinion that my signature expresses, but because I used a "signature" on 4chan in the first place. Apparently using a signature on 4chan is a bannable offense. While I can understand that tripfaggotry and signatures defeat the purpose of a site based on anonymity, I can't help but feel as though being banned for using a signature is unfair. What I'd like to know, Moot, is how you feel about the idea of signatures on 4chan and if you consider their use a bannable offense?

I don't want you to implement signatures on 4chan, that'd probably be too troublesome (and likely stupid).
But at the same time, I don't think my (or anyone's) having a little fun by using a signature should be a bannable offense.

p.s. The only reason I bother to ask all this stuff is because it's not written anywhere in the rules that using a signature is a bannable offense.

I would love it, Moot, if you could give me an answer (no matter how brief or long).
