Hotglue player here.
People who claim that we are autistic elitist jerks are probably just burhurt because they got owned.

We sure bitch about WIZ pubbies, other players or some fagbuilds, but we don't do so more than others bitch about the same things.

We play this game for fun and we don't really stack the rooms, it's just that we like to do stuff together, you know, like people in a clan do.
We do not run fagbuilds only either.
Some like to hop around with Shino, others Froglanders, Jkuns, Cannonballers etc. everyone plays what he personally enjoys the most.

Basically we are taking the game easy and we are having fun.

Please stop pretending that we are jerking of on the fact that some of us tend to be placed above average more often in arena matches than other players.

I remember that guy from the betas, he would always switch teams in shuffle and only play union wars against some shit teams that were getting trashed in the first place. I remember making him leave tons of times, really doubt he improved that much between the betas by playing in jp. I don't understand the maintenance. The site says between midnight and 2 am they'll have maintenance, that's over. It also says official service begins at noon. Does that mean the game is down till noon? I thought I'd have 10 more hours to finish buying bots in the shop before they're taken down. If that's not the case, dammit. I had 40k on Gliese581c on my BRD account. At least buying SOMETHING would have been better than nothing.

Mounting some kind of flamer can be nice.
As an Art you usially try to fly if a melee is near you so he can't stunlock you to death.
Melees on their hand chase you and are close to you, who can burn them. This makes moving much harder for them and is a good way for dealing with lnd.

Just hug ledges and/or get Broad Radar and no LND will ever be close to you. Explosives deal so much damage that they're your best weapon choices even against LNDs with Blast Guard.

My favorite build is Ripper Scythe AIR with Stealth Sight or Broad Radar. Catch ART from the back, deal 120 damage to them with a single hit (Ripper Scythe hits really fucking hard), fly away, repeat.

I think the pubs from best to worst is actually BRD, WIZ, DOS. All of the factions have the potential for really bad teams if you get enough circle ranks joining though. I'm basing this mostly off of epoch war results, I don't think DOS has ever won both their offense and defense in the final phase of beta testing.

This all is basically the reason I don't like to play games with /jp/ ever since Mabinogi, everything always turns all serious business no matter how much people say "take it easy". Of course these days the board itself with all the reportfags is proof of how /jp/ can't take it easy anymore.

I don't consider anything in CB grinding unless you're doing haku runs or something which doesn't make you better at the game. I'm a certified CB autist and you can find my name dropped quite a bit in the last thread, and I run completely untuned bots.

It's more about the build than it is about the tune. I'm rolling with a froglander/beezle commando right now.

The most important thing to top tenning and top fiving consistently is coming up with a build that can do more damage than it will cost when it dies. If you can do that, you've won the game.

There is a huge skill factor in this game, and you can build bots even without tune ups that are really great. Especially if you learn to use and love some of the cartridges that the people putting a billion cost in to tune ups are missing out on.

no, it's shit. its main weapon is a heatgun, which does no damage and even less damage to anything with blast guard. It's supposed to shoot air but the bullets doesn't have the ballistics of zookas and aren't fast enough.

the burst missiles are slow, they and they have less homing ability than that destructors.

I tried playing 3 cannon baller just because on some 30v30 game, finished rank 13 at best, rank 25 avg. It's fun when you ambush some pub air that's standing around and hit them with all of your burstmissiles for like 130 damage.

Cause I feel like number of hits actually breaks it faster than damage done... IE low damage BUT FAST FIRING machine guns versus bazookas/missiles.

If you use a low cost bot, you will have less stats. More importantly slower movement which means that it will take more time for you to be at a position where you can deal max damage and you will die faster because you have lower hp/tgh and can't dodge shots as well as higher cost bots.

If we're going into psyche evaluations it's because I can't help charging in balls out, racking up a ridiculous contribution score, and dying with 3 stars. It's better to do that with a 200 cost froglander than 800-1000 cost fagbot, as it ends up only costing about 400 bp when I die with a crown.

I wish the power spot did more than give burst fire.

I remember thinking it regenerated hp way back at the first beta. It doesn't have to go that far but burst fire alone is kind of lame.

It should give that all guard or long range ability too. It's not really much of a power spot. More like a liability spot.

Also the tree item spawn rate should be upped. What's the point of even having them if they only drop items 1/100th of the time?

Epoch battle rules
Defending team. You spawn instantly, and cost only a tenth of what you normally would if you died. If you lose your PS, you lose a great deal of your BP. Defend your PS at all costs.
Attacking team. You spawn normally and when you die you have a normal cost. You cannot hope to win a head to head battle against the defending team due to their respawn time and cost bonus. Your objective is to kill their PS

Frags do affect score from what I've seen, but damage is more important in the end. 10 frags is only equal to about another 90 points or so. If you want a cheap way to get a really high score, contribution is your best bet. You earn contribution by being targeted by enemy players. The more target reticules on you, the faster you gain it. So all you have to do is get all the heat of the enemy team on you and not die for a minute or so and you'll be rolling 2000+ contribution score.

I did not say all. Some epoch maps have the attacking team required to destroy three PSes, some are required to destroy just one.

Next Epoch match you should watch how much it costs when you die versus when an attacker dies. When you die, you only lose 100 or less BP while he will lose 500-1000. There is simply no way they can win without attacking the PS. Please just concede that you didn't know how the mechanics work.

As a support bot, I have to ask: Do you guys go afk when you are getting healed or something? This is especially baffling when I'm healing in the power spot. I'm watching the map and looking around for sneak attacks, but the bots I'm healing are usually just frozen in place. Then if a Jikun or something rushes us, I can shoot or jump away but everyone else is just blindsided. Again, it's more odd in the power spot, since everyone will have the hypershot effect, yet they just allow an enemy to charge right into us without a single shot being fired. It's a healing field, not a shield. I try to avoid healing in the powerspot now, since it makes bots getting healed think they don't have to stay alert.

I play sup and I play everything else under the sun so I know what's happening here. The problem is that when people come to get healed, they're planning out their next move and looking at the map while keeping track of if their hp is full or not yet. I know it's aggravating to play sup and just watch the lifeless husks sit there while people are shooting you, so here's a tip, shoot them. If there's a firefight going on around them, they'll come back to attention. Especially as soon as they stop hearing the heal ding because you dodged a jikun jumping in.

I cleared it with a ~350 cost crim (wide beam), ~640 cost tesla (wide/particle) and 1170 cost lily as the finisher. Generally you have to stay as high as possible on that map (the pillar in the middle of the first area and the arch are good landing/starting points) and bomb the monsters with your wide beam. The shielded cacti can be killed when either circling from above or flying around them really fast.

Tesladonna has underboob like Laz instead. She is the cutest AIR you can have right now.

And she isn't bad either. I like her better than Izuna, but I keep dying to Izuna. Somehow they do 50+ damage with their mini bazookas while I only do 30-40. I can't even fight some of them with my Izuna unless I have a ton of HP or surprise them. At least Tesladonna is amazingly cute especially with a bow on her head. Even if she hardly ever survives a game.

Izuna does higher damage because she has more TEC while Tesladonna is something of a melee AIR. Get a Ripper Scythe and she'll start wrecking shit.

I use a Viper Shield/ABR Tesladonna with Izuna BS though, since she gets Broad Radar and Izuna doesn't. Broad Radar practically improves your survivability tenfold. Doubly so on JPCB, what with everyone having maximally tuned up mechs.

also yeah, tesladonna is kind of well - not that great on current CB since there's no super air melee like the slashblade or scythe and lasers got nerfed hard from ok to semi-useless. The fact that tesla has lower base fly than izuna on top of having no booster slot at all only makes it worse.

I was playing through single-player since I had nothing better to do and the Saggitary Maxis had a rifle that shot exploding rounds and I was wondering if anybody knew what it was. Here's a picture.

cyberstep is fucking stupid if they expect a handful of rich players to finance their game while everyone else is a second class citizen. $400 for stupid glowy wings? you could buy 16 magic horses in wow for that much. of course I'm sure even 5000 rt is only enough to get you 2-3 rare robots like lily rain eve or ivis.

right now there are 1500+ players. how many of them do you think are going to stick around when they realize all the good robots are locked away in a stupid lottery cash shop and even paying $5 a month they'll never get the most popular ones?

I started playing in ob1 but quit after 2 days because all I had was crap while other players had decent robots. then in ob2 someone gifted me 200k UC so I could start rolling for stuff I wanted and got hooked. the only reason I'm still playing is because I'm hoping cs will come to their senses and fix the cash shop into something reasonable.

Oh dear god, those wings. It's like I'm playing Megaten all over again. I remember thinking "Wow, these guys with wings look like tools" back then, and I'm sure I'll be thinking "Wow, thanks for paying to increase your hitbox size!" this time around.

All I hope for is the ability to get my old bots back, I really miss my Winberrl and Lily. Oh wait. I suppose they might put the christmas bots in right away? Jetter girl's skinability was amusing, and destructor girl was pretty fun.

Does anyone know how to get these red glasses? I can't remember how I got them at all.

No trading in CB makes me very hesitant. I was able to assemble some of the highest-end equipment in Megaten through a bit of spending and a lot of trading, I won't be able to do that in CB. Further, considering I only want moebots, and only a select few at that, I'm not sure how willing I'll be to spend much on this stuff.

Spending a ton of money to end up with non-moebots or large weapons when I only use S moebots is.. not very enticing.

It would never work in a naked way like that. CB would become known as "the game where you have to pay $30 bucks for a single bot" and the stream of new players would dry up quickly.

As in an earlier posting, I suggest two things:
-A "stop loss" system, where if you've spent $30 at the garapon, you can give back all the loot in exchange for the item you want. This is the same as the direct purchase thing but, psychologically, it sugar coats it in a way that makes it more acceptable.
-A duplicate refusal option of some sort, excluding blue balls. If you already have an item in your garage, offer the option to re-roll.

People comparing WoW to CB is just way too stupid.

With a monthly fee EVERYONE have EVEN opportunities and chances to do whatever you want and climb to the top.

With CB, you have to pay a lot more for a CHANCE to get what you want. Not to mention WoW is much more updated and worked on than CB for god sake. The balance issues WoW has are small time compared the balance issues and broken shit CB has.

Spending money on CB is not worth AT ALL.

Gwyain and Ametus aren't even in shop, the two bots id have bought. UC missile in garapon, Mecha Jetter is now rt, zookas aren't back in shop so I'm guessing they will capitalize by putting in a future garapon. Also pic related jpcb selling level limiters for even cheaper, UC Seraph AND UC to RT.
