NEWSFLASH: Bunbunmaru is sad to report that Christmas has been cancelled, due to disappearance of beloved youkai Santa Claus. Anyone with any information please contact our offices.

An attempt was made to enlist Gensokyo's other famous Red-White to do the job of delivering gifts to children.

It was unsuccessful.

Logically, it'd make most sense if Santa Claus' operation was not run at the North Pole, but the Youkai Mountain.

Nitori and her kappa teams produce all the toys.
Aya is the only one fast enough to do the deliveries.
Momiji is the one that sees when you are sleeping.
Hina.....is actually a sentient Christmas tree.

Well... let's say it's Yuletide rather than Christmas specifically, and Santa Claus is a modern evolution of Father Winter with traits from St:Nicholas rather than being based entirely on the latter.

Actually... can't elaborate on that, because I don't know. Not 100% sure what kind of creature Father Winter would properly be classified as.

Only found conflicting sources. Too much New Age and neopaganism stuff involved and not enough old lore recorded and published.
