Foobar can play the .tta files but if you feel like converting them to .FLAC or whatever for your MP3 player/Media player of choice then Foobar also provides an easy convert tool. AT1+2 don't use a lot of system resources EXCEPT on the 3D world map.

If you have a halfway decent computer you should be able to run the majority of the game fine. However I have a relatively good computer but the world map slows me down to around 65% speed.

I've been playing AT 1 for a little while now, and I just got to the falcon's flaw in phase 2, but I'm already at level eight in Aurica's cosmosphere. Am I diving to fast? I'm worried I'm gonna exhaust all the levels way too early in the game

AT1's cosmospheres aren't the best paced. Sometimes you meet characters in the cosmospheres before you have even met them in 'real life'. I just kept on diving as much as I could and I still had fun with the game.

In AT1 you don't need to worry about diving too much in the other heroines if you are on the route of your choice, so even if you complete it early you can still occupy your time by doing Misha's and the third Reyvateil's later on.

I would say the dive was a real interesting way of interacting with the heroines, and it is basically just a VN otherwise, one with in my opinion great characters.

The gameplay is basically what you make it to be, I guess it is sort of interesting and it actually lets you do something even if it may or may not be a challange. But the focus was always on the girls anyway.

As long as this is bumped, about the Flash stuff...

The new Flash Cosmosphere versions (used in Toukoumatters and I assume for FCS3 when it comes out) uses a font for character names that doesn't render lowercase. I tried de/recompiling the Flash (with a really crude script I wrote) to use different fonts defined in the Flashes, or no font at all, but that didn't seem to help. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong. So for now the character names are all uppercase and everything else is fine minus some graphics glitches Gust says they'll fix in later versions.

FCS1 and FCS2 appear to actually use graphics for character names, which should be pretty easy to substitute, though I haven't tried yet. I do plan on getting at least Infel's done by the end of the year, so we'll find out soon.

Also, Sasha has a corner now!? "In the new segment, Sasha (and later other characters as well) will listen to your stories of times you had it rough or times you tried real hard. Sasha will do most of the responses, but if you like, you can ask for other characters to listen to you as well." Man, I feel really lazy now.

Try the ZeroGS 0.97.1 plugin, that should help. I'm getting those black lines as well with any GSdx9 plugin, so it's probably a problem with that.

Iirc they removed a mandatory attack that Raki uses on her third turn...
...but they didn't remove that line of code that tells Raki to use it. So the game freezes.

Your best bet would be trying to defeat her before her third turn.

Depends on your taste, I guess. Tales of Vesperia, Resonance of Fate etc. all have pretty memorable soundtracks to me. Whilst I may not listen to them nearly enough as I do the AT ones they're still certainly good. Heck, despite how terrible FFXIII was it still even had a few decent tracks too.

Check the archive. If I recall correctly it was time consuming and his scanner wasn't setup very well combined with the fact that he didn't want to rip the book apart. Don't get me wrong, I think the linkage is unique and rather hot too but I still prefer Shurelia without linkage. The few OST tracks I've heard they've been pretty good standard AT music. The Hymmnos.. hmm, I'm on the fence regarding this. I've had the AT3 Hymmnos album since it was released and I've always loved the usual handful of tracks the Kokia tracks, the EXEC_FLIP tracks etc however there seems to be more songs that I don't really like compared to the previous games. Maybe my perception of them will change when I play the game but some of them are pure ear rape. Oh well, not like it matters anyway since I get to hear Cocona's hymmnos which is delicious.

since it seems like the patch kills a few other games i have included an unpatched version of the Gsdx plugin, just use GSdx-SSE2-Fix-16bit-ATST.dll.
Remember to play in native mode or you will get graphical glitches everywhere. If you have more than 4 cores you can play in software mode, that fixes a few other problems.

This is native resolution, and filters aren't selectable in this mode. There are two more glitches; the 3D worldmap only shows half of the world and there are sometimes vertical blocks on the faces in conversations.
I blame most of it on my shitty ati drivers (zerogs doesn't even show most of the screen). It could be a x64 issue as well, who knows.

I guess that's the problem with AT2 (and AT3 to a lesser extent) is that you're forced into diving into one person and I never bothered with Cloche Who would with Jakuri present? so she always appeared mildly annoying what with how she acts during the Gaea phase and having to go through her Infelsphere. tha fan translation project was created because the official one is sketchy in some places (Croix sometimes uses more informal expressions while in the original he's really polite, modified item descriptions to fit, etc), but nothing really that prevents you from fully enjoying the game as it is. Again, this thread is no longer 'always up' - it's the first thread that has been made in quite a while. And in all honesty I don't see the harm; there's a single Rika thread usually up, there used to be an AT thread always up, there's sometimes an idol thread up (I keep these minimized so I can't really say) and then there's the generic MMO of the month that you faggots seem to eat up that is always up.. there's one or two threads looking for players for 12.3/Melty Blood/Senhou and that's all that is coming to mind right now. So that's at most 10 pages within 160 possible threads that keep people together and allow them to have discussion/play stuff/whatever without posting thread after thread after thread filling up even more pages with rubbish.

In comparison take a look at the days where the moderator would come back every few hours at a time, at least 5 pages would be deleted at a time, that's 50 whole threads of trolling and faggotry yet people seem to love posting in those threads and start circlejerking tripfags. Rika and idol threads are pure garbage, but that's no reason for you guys to put AT on the same level. And as for doujin fighting game threads, there's actually a good reason for them, since hosts change and aren't always on. These Ar Tonelico links aren't running away. The same 'links' are posted in the second post in the OP because I deemed it was necessary when I started making these threads because people kept asking for links to the latest TKS issue or links to the hymmnos albums. The new thread OPs obviously agreed as they've kept the same format. And I'm sorry but image bumps? On an image board? CALL THE POLICE. I regularly posted NEW AT/Totori images from Pixiv into these threads to bump the thread and because the fanart is usually pretty awesome. As for reposts.. well, I don't personally repost images but honestly it can't be helped. ┐(￣ー￣)┌ Every other thread gets reposted images all the time so I honestly don't see a big deal about it, at least we keep it to a single thread instead of reposting the same Touhou images over and over because CHIRUNO IS KAWAII DESU NEEEE~~~~ NEEEEEEE~~~~~~~~~~ ^_____^.

If he was referring to image dumps then these threads are far from image dumps unless Sion gets buttangry. Images do get posted but they don't take priority and they aren't mindless image dumps. If he's referring to posting images in general or 'image bumps' then he's just fucking stupid.
