KIKIYAMA isolated himself in true /jp/ style. Or else he's otherwise a respectable working and family man who decided to distance himself from his own project.

I love how he was able to genuinely creep me the hell out with basic graphics and music. The man puts together atmosphere like it's nothing. I really hope he comes out with something new soon.

I actually got around to playing this about a month ago. I have never felt this disturbed playing a game before. Good lord, some of the creatures and places are just so fucked up. And the music is the same too. The first night I decided to try to play it I instantly stopped after hearing the music in her dream room. I lost about 3 nights worth of sleep because of this game.And I don't regret a single minute of it.

How can something be scary when you'll never find it without hearing about it on the internet and deliberately going out of your way to find it? Never understood.

Think if I'd ever recommend the game to anyone I'd make up some lie about there being a hidden plot point in the room. Flip the switch enough times and the diary on the desk starts to glow or something.

You're probably not going to believe me, but I actually got Uboa the first time I flipped the switch.
I was expecting to have to flip it on and off for awhile, and BAM! There he was, first try. If anything, the suddenness is what scared me.

Oh, you have no idea. No movie in the last 8 years (The Ring, I was 14 at the time ) has even remotely bothered me. All these recent "scary" games are pretty decent to play, but none leave any sense of terror after you stop or finish them. Silent Hill 3 was I believe the last thing to bother me before this game. As of late the things that have messed with me the most have been creepypastas and a few things on /x/.

As for my imagination, I like to think I have an overactive one. I'm constantly daydreaming in class, at home, driving (which is bad), taking a shower, usually thinking of those creepypastas I read. I keep throwing myself in the situations, wondering how it'd be if I was there. I guess this is why this game bothered me so much.

On a side note, up until about a month ago I would rarely be able to remember dreams I had at night. Now they're much more vivid. Coincidence?

Yeah, even knowing he's there now I still haven't actually tried to get him. I don't think it would be as bad now that I know he's there. Still, it's like playing Russian roulette. You get tensed up waiting for him to appear, and he doesn't. Then finally. when you're all relaxed, BAM.

I do remember someone posting a flash now that was about UBOA, before I knew what or where it was from. And that, however, did scare the fuck out of me. I imagine that's what it'd would've been like if I didn't know about him, only worse.
