Umineko has those PS: FUCK YEAH GOLDSMITH OH DESIRE people from /a/. The Umineko anime has probably brought /jp/'s general quality down some. Umineko only has Maria, while Higurashi gave us Rika and Satoko.

If you're asking which is better in general existence sense, then it's Higurashi hands down.

I enjoyed umineko ep 1-3 more than anything in higurashi, but I felt it takes a nosedive after that, lowering its enjoyability a lot.
I'll have to see the last episode to make a proper comparison between them deciding which one I found to be better.
