Contained within is probably the most technically proficient display of rhythm guitar in any amateur-made videogame related thing ever made. Drums are also performed well, and the arrangement is top notch.

And I tried MyonMyon already, it fits the bill of what I described exactly. Same chords over and over afuckinggain. I think the only one I remotely liked from that was Shadow Shooter.
Anyway, as for Demetori, I think Eastern Dream and Ancient Forest are pretty much the only songs by that that don't fit the bill there. Great percussion though, and above average synth lead, definetly a lot better than the rest.

The only Touhou music arrangements I've actually really liked are the piano ones. Keep it simple.

The main problem I have with all of it is the lack of range on the notes. There tends to be not much bass or midrange as one would expect in a more normal song, and it really shows up in both the originals and the rearrangements.

Grade 8, that's pretty pro. I know a few people done with level 10 piano and are done their ARCTS or whatever the hell it was. They were finished theory and were doing history, I guess, because the textbook was fucking MASSIVE. I mean like, FUCK, LOOK AT THIS - massive.

I was kind of turned away from the "synthy" aspect of touhou music. I didn't mind it in game, but it wasn't my style. But MyonMyon and Demetori corrected that for me.
