Except the way we use it now is usually referring to exclusively Japanese content, there's no need to deviate from their pronunciation, with the exception of accommodating for the fact that they can't pronounce L. "Lo-lee" is close to "Loli" if you assume Japanese actually had an L anyway.

Loli is primarily a Japanese word, so the L's would be rendered as alveolar flaps (like Spanish R, but without much or any trilling) and the O and I as clipped, pure versions of the English "Oh" and "ee". I believe a Russian pronunciation would have almost English sounding L's and shorter O's and I's, but that seems to conflict with his description of the pronunciation of the name. Nabokov's description is of a Spanish pronunciation, with alveolar flaps and a forward T that taps on the back of the incisors, so that's probably how he actually pronounced it.

No wait, that wouldn't even fit a Spanish pronunciation, since they're L's instead of R's. His description would be the Spanish pronunciation of Rorita. The only language I've heard of using alveolar flaps for L's is Italian, and even that's only in a few dialects. Maybe Nabokov just didn't understand phonetics.
