As for the other questions I tend to see it like Reimu Jr. did not have a particularly fulfilling family life and didn't really get to know anyone too well during her childhood, thus explaining her aloofness and complete lack of compassion for everyone she encounters. She's not a bitch per se, just a product of her environment.

In the name of fanon and barely founded theories?

The miko of a shrine is often the daughter of the resident priest. So since the Hakurei shrine doesn't seem to have any obvious tradition of priests, it's not unthinkable that the position as Hakurei miko is passed down from mother to daughter.

That leaves the question what happened to the priests, if ever there were any. Shingyoku is/are the only one(s) associated with the shrine other than Reimu who seem to be religious characters, both of which seem extremely ancient. I'm a bit rusty on the history of the shrine, but it would seem the Hakurei shrine has existed in some form for a very long time, far longer than Gensokyo or the Hakurei border have been around.

As for Reimu's direct ancestors, judging from appearance and association with the shrine it would seem at least one of them is still around, quite alive and kicking. Just perhaps not quite herself.

Perhaps it's just a matter of there being no such thing as free lunch. All that impurity the old shinto priests went around cleansing quite freely is bound to end up somewhere.

Forgive this lapse of fanon from me, but I like to think that Reimu was born solely for the purpose of maintaining Gensokyo's Hakurei Shrine, even if the parents protested about it. While the Hakurei family may have at one point been a religiously and spiritually powerful family, it died out around the time all the youkai disappeared, and Reimu is the very last of her family. She does maintain certain traditions from her family, though, such as guarding the sacred Hakurei Yin-Yang Orb and dying her hair brown as a sort of rite of womanhood.

Meanwhile, Earth's Hakurei Shrine is barely cared for, and is merely watched over until a) Gensokyo ceases to exist and the youkai return to Earth, or b) a new line of Hakurei can be born. But since the last member with pure blood is far, far away, whoever watches over the Hakurei Shrine on Earth has to be either distantly related to the family or has to have been in a family with close ties to the Hakurei.

Not so sure Konngara is an oni, though, but the basic idea is the same.

Basically a priest who has been wronged in life in such a way that he can't pass on properly, takes measures to be transmigrated into a demon when he dies in order to claim revenge. Once dead and in his new form, he effortlessly exacts his vengeance (in mere moments) only to realise he's now stuck being a demon (indefinitely).
