I 1cc'd every touhou game in order from hardest to easiest.

UFO > SA > MoF > EoSD > IN > PCB

Now I want to beat all the Ex stages, from easiest to hardest. How would you rank the EX bosses (and Yukari) in order from easiest to hardest?

Pic related, I hear she's the hardest EX

Naturally I started with Nue since she's the EX of the hardest game to 1'cc.

But she seems so simple, I assume she's the easiest EX boss.

MoF and IN are really easy. The rest are a bit harder.

Nue is really that high up?

Yukari is easier than Nue!?

Ran is the easiest!?

Thanks

These are my opinions. I've beaten most of them.

>> No.6445823

Nue < Ran < Suwako < Alice < Koishi < Yukari < Flan < Mokou < Marisa

But I haven't cleared the last 4 yet so I'm not sure on those.

Mokou can be spell-practiced too so she's potentially a lot easier.

>> No.6445826

Ran or Suwako might be good choices because while Nue is easiest a lot of people get Really Mad at her stage.

You could always try them out and judge for yourself, dude.

Nue gets pretty hard after she starts dropping bomb fragments. And it's not so much her danmaku that's hard as are UFO's mechanics.

(ratings include the stages and midbosses of the respective extras)

koishi>nue>flan>yukari>ran>mokou>suwako

Yeah but they all get hard in their second half, and Nue's timeout card is a joke instead of a horrible nightmare like most of them. And her noncards never get too bad.

>> No.6445858

>>6445846
some of her non cards can be a pain in the ass.

Her last noncard, the one before that nightmare timeout card with the huge, quick, overlapping bullets can get really shitty, and then you've got fast moving sutra bullets that wrap in each others openings making solid walls ala EX Kogasa's first spell.

As far as UFO mechanics, just stay at 4.0 and they're simple (exception Rainbow invasion of Terror)

>>6445846
It's worse than Mokou's. And again, taking the punishments of the game's mechanics into account, Suwako's is just as bad.

Huh really, I guess it depends on what you're good at. Nue's big bullet noncard and the timeout are very easy to me, they're straightforward and just require good timing and movement. I'm worse at ones full of messy bullshit like most of them have.

>> No.6445891

Oh I also keep forgetting to get the vsync patches for the earlier games, that might be part of it.

>> No.6445903

>>6445891
it's absoultely mandatory for PCB

anything later than that is unnecessary and does essentially nothing, and the one for EoSD won't work for me, even after renaming the files to their japanese name and using japanese locale and all their instructions.

>> No.6445911

>>6445871
Her last three nonspells often kill me from either getting completely trapped on the last one or really fast ones out of nowhere headed straight for me. Nue's timeout is extremely brutal if you don't know a pattern for the first two phases, and the pattern isn't as easy to see as a lot of them.

>> No.6445919

>>6445903
It works great on EoSD for me.

it's like danmaku chimera

look for where there's gonna be a hole and move through it. Then move through a hole one character sprite up or down and to the left/right.

>>6445929
Yes, I know. But that's not very obvious at first.

>> No.6445944

>>6445911
You go in a gap, then go in another gap one half of a grid over from that. It's basically diagonal movement. Sometimes I have to bomb the final part because my brain fucks up reading the pattern.

>> No.6445949

hmm flan was the first I beat. As for personal difficulty... suwako nue and mokou were easy, everyone else was about on par with a normal 1cc.

>> No.6445953

>>6445903
Dunno, a lot of my deaths during IN extra lately have felt like I wouldn't have died if I didn't have that stupid 1 frame lag. During nonspells especially. But yeah PCB's really bad.

You're only supposed to rename the EXE file.

This is what your folder should look like.

>> No.6445980

Oh yeah, ignore the extra files with the 'a' at the end. Those are backups since I'm using the texture replacement patch.

I beat Yukari extra stage without the Vsnyc patch. It's hardly mandatory.
