I finally made an Ivis yesterday and then played her today. Tuned her to have like 30 something strength and 40 walk. I have also discovered I suck ass at melee and that I am much better just using the raid rifle I put on her despite the fact she has zero tec. So I'm now thinking of making a small LND build that relies on bullets and runs around very fast to avoid getting hit. Any suggestions for when the next OB comes around?

Because Asura'd weapons fire really far away from your core. I suggest Folded Rifle joints instead, if you can fit those on a L bot. Better yet, just do it on a smaller bot altogether. Through core/arm combinations, the closer you can get your fire coming from closer to your core, the more concentrated damage you'll deal to smaller targets, and the more kills you'll get.

If you just want 1 image, I'll do it for you. I re-did my crimbitinghat from the last thread (which I guess the OP edited and reposted). I'm getting much better at this and I can have it done in about 5 minutes.

And with this crim, you can edit the hair and body colors with minor edits to the image. I made mine Crimrose N colored.

Is there a specific upgrade that unfucks Destructor Girl's missiles? Right now I have no cartridges for her core weapon. I would like to only get one at the most.

I'd suggest using them all. No need to use Destructor Girl if not for the missiles. There are plenty of other moebots for that. Just use the capacity upgrades for the rest unless you like spending 90 or so equivalent capacity (because you are loosing potential capacity and also paying cost) on something else.

Psycho Formula is the best small flying art. If you aren't using the core upgrades on Destructor Girl, Lily is great. It is up to you. You can also use the Christmas Destructor Girl from the Garapon.

I've been playing as a newbie in Brd since yesterday. Got lucky with my first roll in Garapon and rolled an Ivis. Been playing in the newbie arena so I'm trying not to be an asshole so I've been using a stock Crimrose as my main bot. With a laser and mini bazooka I get game warrior, destroyer, and sometimes great fighting spirit almost every game.

It's like clubbing baby seals. I feel kinda bad.

I use GIMP. First I scale the image and crop if necessary. Then I change the color mode to indexed with 14 colors. Then put it in the template. Then change the colormap so that like colors are at the beginning in groups of 3. After those 9, the rest don't matter. Then I import it and find the best matches. The last color I use to touch up the image manually where it looks worst. I don't know much about photoshop, but GIMP is free and a much smaller download, so I use it.

This is exactly what I did for Minibeta when I rolled up an account for DOS.

Yes, it is like clubbing baby seals, but I used an ABR instead of a laser.

Of course, during Minibeta, there were these super tough shielded Hatigarms roaming around, so that fun got a bit tougher.

hell, I was getting my ass kicked in unrestricted shuffle yesterday then gave up and went to restricted DOS vs WIZ and immediately started kicking ass, don't have to make a new account just to play vs marbles. Yesterday was pretty shitty overall though, didn't have a single round worth taking a ss of, been a week since I had a really good round.

And has anyone else been unable to log in to jpCB? I don't even play it now, but I keep logging in to collect daily giveaways, except as of yesterday it gives me an invalid UserID/Password error. I tried resetting my pw and I can still log in to the website fine, but can't log on the game. Dunno if I got banned for being not JP or what (I'm pretty sure that technically you're not supposed to play on the jp server outside of Japan, though it seemed like they didn't really care)

2. Open the exported picture with photoshop or something, set 16 colors, and paste the image you want into the area you desire.
3. Save and import.
4. Final tune-up to make sure the colors are in the right place.

I'm not expert, but I think a fool-proof way to get a working texture is to save the color table before editing the original texture (image -> mode -> color table, save). Then switch to RGB mode for ease of editing. Once you're done, switch back to Indexed, choose Custom from the Palette dropdown and load your saved color table.

I, for one, am going to enjoy the wipe.

As we played the game I always felt uneasy about a wipe, but after seeing so many unrestrictedly powerful bots who under normal circumstances wouldn't be so strong (due to RT limitations), I think a wipe + RT limitations are good for the game.

I'm sure many of us thought that cash shop would ruin the game, but now agree that cash shop saves the game from becoming what it has now become. I think we've also realized how powerful entry-level bots can be and that you don't need an Ivis or an Ouka to enjoy the game.

I'm really looking forward to it.

Think about it this way. In beta, EVERYBODY had access to Ivis/Ouka. On release, only people willing to fork out the cash will have access to one. And even then, the people with money to spend probably won't want to spend it on an Ivis/Ouka anyways. So yeah, we might still see those bots, but they will be few and far between.

you all seem to be misunderstanding what the actual effects of the cash shop will be. it won't just be harder to get overpowered robots like ivis, it's going to be harder to get anything specific period. the last robot I made during ob2 was made out of brickgale and pacifar parts. it took me like 30 rolls to get what I was looking for. that's $150 worth. the cash shop might get rid of ivis, but unless you're ready to empty your wallet it's also going to make it impossible to remake 90% of the other shit we've been using.

It's more likely than you think. Stun is based on damage dealt on a hit. When you do multiple hits, it sometimes adds up all that damage to a large number and counts it as a "single hit", that's when it shows *!BREAK!* on the screen.

When you flamethrower someone they usually just jump to get away with the 40 fly, but if you jump up and stun them again theyll fall down and you're able to get in more hits.

The thing I'm going to miss the most on my Lily Rain Majalis is her tuned up 40 FLY.
Second thing I'll miss most is her Blast Bazooka.

Another thing I will miss is my Tesladonna. However, unless she's super expensive, she will be easy to recreate. She's the best lv5 AIR bot and I already outfit her with regular shop bazooka. Some 3 slot parts which might have decent stats depending on what you're aiming for. It also has a fairly decent chance of giving you RT and gives you some tuneup items. Once you buy the monthly 50 RT, UC garapon is the only thing worth spending UC on.

Here's the current UC garapon. It's 1 roll for 200 UC, 5 for 800 UC. Gold items are 1 Rt or a Cosmo Regret. Silver items are indiviudal bot parts for one or two bots; enough to build a bot if you're patient and have some UC to burn.

Since trees were a massive troll, even though I did them 5 times I got about 300k total from them. I never ever had money to waste like so many other people did. Anything I got I got through grinding my ass off in the arena. Never had anything fancy from Garapon. For instance I didn't even have a Shaden till 3 weeks ago so when people kept telling me, oh yeah, Shaden boosters are in the shop. Yeah, not unless you have a Shaden first. I didn't get spoiled by fancy bots except Ivis which I can live without.

1 Lily Rain. Equipped her with 2 handy bazookas. No upgrades.

3 Seraph Crimroses, no upgrades, 1 had normal Izuna Kamui legs which is easily bought with cash and a Tesladonna laser arm which is also easily bought with cash. No upgrades, I never had cash to exchange robot parts for chips.

1 Thorla Nimbus. Gave it a stardust cannon. She had upgrades for Tec clear to 35 but I ran out of more room for upgrades (no money for chips). As much as people made fun of me I kicked serious ass with her. She's available in the normal shop.

1 Sturbanger, the regular one in the shop. No upgrades, equipped with 2 bazookas available for UC.

3 Ivises. Well, goodbye Ivis. 2 had upgrades for walk, I didn't have enough cash to exchange for chips so I couldn't afford the fancy walk upgrade, I took what I could get and ran out of upgrade space at 37 walk each. The only person who did better than me in a commando of Ivis was Kanbara ... who kicked my ass so badly it hurt.

1 Baltheon Gold, no upgrades, 1 stardust cannon you can get those in Arena. The Baltheon with the 360 shields is Garapon though so I may never see it again. Still kicked ass with it.

1 Destructor Girl. No upgrades, gave her a handy bazooka and a ceramic burner. Guess I won't see the burner again but her core weapon is what I mostly used her for anyway. No upgrades.

2 Winbells. I hated Winbell Ellen's vines, she's crap I wouldn't want her anyway. The regular shop Winbell is available for cash. No upgrades to either of them. Equipped them with a handy bazooka and regular beam guns and rapid fire bits. Sometimes got top 5 with them.

1 Izuna Kamui. Available in shop. No upgrades. Equipped her with a laser and a beam gun. Mostly used her legs.

1 Ouka. Didn't like her anyway.

3 chibis. Ok, here's where it gets sad. I did well with them and I loved being on support. I could replace the Koko Gaap easily but she's the one I didn't like. Goodbye Ouka Kamuro.

I just really don't like BRD. I fucking hate green. Other than that, I don't really feel too strongly against this faction.

I feel most comfortable at WIZ though. Why the fuck did everybody have to ruin our faction? It's weird because in the beginning WIZ had the least population of all the factions, then suddenly, when the expert WIZ clans started kicking ass left and right, everybody decided to switch or something. If the good clans of WIZ make a switch, there is absolutely no doubt that the masses will follow, since it's a wipe anyways, they've got nothing to lose.

My biggest question is: Will there be clan continuity after the wipe? I think they should wipe everything completely, clans included and let the game reorganize itself from scratch.

Since it'll be for such a short time I doubt to many people will follow. I'd like to move just to have more competition. You could sit in a vs brd/dos room for an hour and get maybe 1 or 2 people. Stacking a room with hotglue to fight 15 wiz would be nice.

As for the wipe, I'm sure all the clans will have to be remade on their desired faction.

Yeah, and you usually get 10-20 of them so you can risk going for a lot of tuneups. Mikado Max LG has some nice stats on it, too.

Cheer pompoms are pretty good too if you have a spare hand, you can tune them fully with whatever you want and enjoy +6TEC +1WLK or whatever it is you tuned it with, usually for between 15 and 40COST.

Also take note that Wing Plus AMJs are definitely worth it in CBJP, you don't want to miss +8FLY even if it's costly. Those things, plus a very cheap Izuna Kamuy, is the reason S AIR is very easy to gear up in JPCB.

Speaking of S AIR, oh wow. I got this just after the Ceramic Burner. It drops my STR to 0, but well, it's not like beam bits actually deal damage. I just use them to get out of missiles/melee.

You can buy up to 50 RT a month. First 10 is 1 UC each, next 10 is 400, next 10 is 800, etc. The mates give you different jobs and give you tuneup shit and drop/exp tickets as rewards depending on which one you get. Also, tits.

I'm using the arm weapon exclusively to kill trees. Mini bazooka/Izuna booster both run out of ammo very fast, so some shell supplies are necessary.

Of course, in resource-tight maps like Tsundora Wall, flying around meleeing people with 0 STR for laughs is also an option. Are Raiko hits TEC or STR-based, by the way? Decreasing STR didn't seem to affect them much.
