I don't understand how people found sharin to be in their top 3, unless they have only played like <10 games.

It has great art and the characters and soundtrack are fun but the pacing is garbage and the "twists" are pretty fucking retarded. Even the fandisk resorts to the same formula.

I'm not saying I don't like the game, top 10 for translated VNs, sure, but top 3? There are much better choices..

1-Heavily depends on my mood, but I'll say a combo of Sekien no Inganok and Shikkoku no Sharnoth, so similar yet so different
2-Steins;gate because I love SF especially if it's about time travel and the butterfly effect, just wished Faris route would have been a bit different and longer
3-Little Busters EX!- great comedy and characters, weak individual routes b ut both refrain and Saya make up for them

I don't like much action and horribly depressing things.
Also wondering if Sona-Nyl will be better, since the trial looked promising, offering more questions than the ones about the monsters.

Do they all have similar writing to Sekien no Inganock? The setting and characters were interesting, but I did not care for the actual writing at all. The vast majority of the game was spent on episodic chapters with recycled text.

I honestly want to read the others in the series, but I don't know if I could put up with so much repetition again.

What others have you read? I refuse to believe you'd pick May Sky and The Letter over other short visual novels (True Remembrance, Red Shift, Moonshine, and Planetarian, just to name a few).

Not the op, but it kinda interested me the overall taste. So I counted all the mentioned titles, and gave first place VNs 3 points, 2nd place 2 points and 3 place 1 point. If someone had said that they were in no order then all 3 got 2 points.
