It doesn't matter that it's slow if it's used against a downed opponent. It's meaty as fuck and gives you easy crossups. It even beats most wakeup reversals because they go in the wrong direction.
Even if you somehow managed to whiff it, you usually get a 5a out faster because the delay is canceled upon landing.

Can somebody give me some tips (or redirect me to a better place) on very basic SWR stuff? I'm playing the demo for now and I can't seem to defeat Alice or Aya except by block and projectile spam, which I'm pretty sure doesn't work anywhere else, but I can't seem to close any distance against their projectile spam (the rocket dolls especially).

Good Games, Leverette. That was quite possibly the longest set I've played, I learned how to fight Remilia quite a bit during those matches! I managed to get some practice in with my Reimu as well, which was nice.

You seem to be a solid Remilia, just have to work on defense and maybe get some situational combos down. Although, I probably shouldn't be the one to give out advice, since I really have no clue how to play Remi! Fun set, though.

I really hope you learned a lot during these games, I definitely noticed how you were improving. You should use and abuse the bosky sweaper (the green 623 alt spell), it's one of Marisa's safest moves, and it starts some nice, easy to learn combos. I don't know what else to say, keep playing like that and you'll definitely be on par with most of the people playing here.

You just need more netplay. Keeping the pressure on your opponent is something you can only learn by playing against human opponents, sadly the AI can't do much about that.

Also, don't follow my example, I'm far too reckless and get easily punished by better players or better mashers.The way you blocked was definitely something I should learn from you.

Haha, yeah I was feeling sluggish as Youmu since I was still in Yukari mode as well. A trick you can use against the train is to attack it if you can't escape it. You will be counterhit and immediately blue ring, reducing the damage to one hit.

No. That's more of a density system.
You can trade multiple projectiles for one, meaning there is no simple x > y calculation. Instead there is an if x > y, then x = x-y.
Priority is a very specific term in fighting games. It means when two moves strike on the same frame and overlapping hitboxes occur that the move with the higher priority is processed first.
Priority means a sequential system.

Reimu is a pretty fun character to use, but I still have a lot to learn with her, so it seems. I think it's my bad habits coming over from using Utsuho so much, I mash with Reimu like I would with Utsuho, which is no good at all.
