How do you save this stupid bitch? She just runs away like an idiot going after the enemy and gets killed at the hell hole. I did everything, I took over the hell hole, I stationed all the relevant characters in that area and she still gets beat up alone there. Is there something I'm missing?

You're not on her route. I had the same problem with Senna.

During district phase you need to beat Ren instead of the the fat guy, and let the fat guy die.
Had the same problem.
Also she really grows on you later on in the game.

She is the only girl I focused on in this playthrough. She encounters the enemy, they fight, he punches her, and throws her into the hell hole.

Why? The game has two routes so just play Kunagi route in Hard Mode (with New Game+ bonuses) after you beat Senna Mode.

In addition to the focus on the girls, the storylines are different in who you fight as the 4th nation, as well as which truth about another nation is revealed. In Senna mode you see the truth behind the ninjas, while in Kunagi you see the truth behind the vampires.
