You nod, wordlessly pulling Remilia back into your arms. She rests her head on the pillow, snuggling up to your shoulder. You kiss her forehead and she smiles. The feeling of her against you is more relaxing now than arousing. Finally lying down you realize how tired you are, how warm and comfortable Remilia feels. "This is nice." She says, sleepily.

You can feel her breath against your neck.
"I've never felt like this before." She says.
"Neither have I."
She laughs a little. "But you haven't lived as long as I have." There is a hint of sadness in her voice.

Five hundred years, without intimacy?

You hug her tighter.
"You've never ... ?" You start, not quite sure what question you're asking.
She shakes her head gently. "Never."
"Why?"
She sighs and something moves in the bed behind her, you almost jump but then you realize it's only her moving her wings.
"Slightly hard to hide what I am. I always got hostility or fear, not affection." She lowers her face so you can't see her eyes.

No, Remi. You're wrong.

You put your hand under her chin and raise her face back up. You don't pause to look, only bring your lips forward and kiss her deeply. You feel her press herself harder against you as you pull back again.
You don't need to speak to explain. Remilia just buries her face in your shoulder again as you roll onto your back, hugging her tight.
"Thank you." She says, voice very quiet. "Goodnight."
You feel her hand on your chest, her head on your shoulder.
"Goodnight Remi."

In the darkness of her bedroom her breathing slows, regular and quiet as you feel her fall asleep. You soon follow, holding her in your arms.
