I guess it depends on the professor, the one I had was more focused on Ancient Greece, Buddhism and bits of Christianity.

I took a philosophy course focused on metaphysics and the professor made a point of rarely mentioning names. I got the feeling that that was rather unusual, but I think I learned a few things. Easy class, though.

Yesterday I asked for link to download all Touhou games. So I downloaded them all and started to play them, after few hours of gaming I was fucking addicted to Touhou, so I decided I wont go to campus today, instead I'll play more Touhou, after 14 hours of playing all Touhou games I feel little dizzy and when I close my eyes I see fucking bullets and my eyes start moving itself. How can I stop this /jp/? Tell me how. Take resposibility for giving me link to Touhou.

Grazing is an arete, a mean between the deficiency of getting hit by a bullet and the excess of running too far away from it. to master that arete, one has to willingly undergo the process of repeatedly training himself to grazing bullets, until that practice becomes a hexis.

It might be best to say that science IS philosophy. The empirical method, which the scientific method is based off of was formed when two schools of philosophy: meta-physics and well... not meta-physics, split apart.

Philosophy justifies, defines and develops the logical underpinnings of all scientific pursuits. For these reasons, some people think philosophy is the highest form of inquiry.

I took philosophy roughly half a year ago and I don't remember shit except how I struggled with that essay I wrote on "The advantages and limitations of analytical approaches to knowledge".

I also remember how I didn't remember a thing about existentialism when we had an oral examination on it. It was very embarrassing.

Shit was hard as hell and it quite surprised me because since it was a one semester class I though it was going to be light and me sipping tea and having a merry old time discussing some philosophical essentials with a few other students. Instead it was very draining and while it was interesting I don't know if it's the thing for me.

I got the next to highest grade though

Cirno would probably read Nietzsche and his concepts of the uebermensch.

>> No.6141872

Touhou is basically a postmodernist work of art, and I specifically mean a story. Characters are cleary emancipated from ideological appartuses. There is no alienation derived from class divisions, which is also emphasized by feminist, even post-genederist cultural superstructure. To sum up, I think that ZUN's philosophical projects is somehow similar to Rabelais' and Fourier's utopias. It's clearly a socially progressive work, full of marxist overtones, but also not unaware of post-structural trends present in works of anarchofeminists.

I disagree. One thing is to need to feed on the blood of the living, and another is to be rotten to the core like Sade.

Or at least they are civilized enough to not warrant an extermination by the local miko or every demon hunter in the human village.
