The plot of this game is pretty simple. The only thing I'm wondering about is how Cirno would actually see hard danmaku. If we go by stages then Cirno has only gone through three. Half that of a regular run. And the fourth person she can fight is the extra stage. Marisa who is a stage four boss is an extra level boss to Cirno and a hard one at that. Imagine what playing Cirno would be like in a regular game or even an StB type game. What the hell would danmaku like Q.E.D. or Scarlet Gensokyo be like to Cirno? Ressurection Butterfly or Danmaku Bounded Field? Apollo 13 or any of Mokou's fire based cards? The Seamless Ceiling of Kinkaku-ji? Anything Utsuho does? The death fairies from extra stages?

Seriously what would all of that be like to Cirno?

How would they all be scaled up as they're all already considered difficult? Would they be simply large walls of impenetratable bullets? Would Cirno instantly lose all motivation when fighting Utsuho or Mokou? Through Cirno's eyes, how would the most difficult danmaku be perceived?

Yes, but stage 4 Marisa is going easy Marisa and she was going easy on Cirno so I assumed that was about the level she was fighting. I play DS for score so I know Marisa's difficulty. Only one of her cards was difficult completion wise though which was the rotating laser shooters one which isn't even dense. Just very tricky. Her other two cards were finished in 60 and 18 shots. DS Marisa is kind of disappointing I guess.

I think it might be because it's Fairy Wars; no new characters, no real plot beyond what we already knew when the game was announced. Remember DS? People were discussing the translations there like no tomorrow, even it was mainly butthurt and fanboy tears. I mean, we had one thread everyday for like two weeks.

Fairy wars just doesn't have the same impact, no really "new" stuff, at least not dialogue based stuff.

The translation was on gensokyo way before the patch got released, so was the comics.
Nothing new really.

I like the game, I think it's awesome, I love it, it's terrific.
But I don't really feel like discussing it with /jp/.

It just confirmed my idea that Cirno is actually one of the most professional in Gensokyo, is Cirno who gets the shit done.
How useful she is in Koumajo densetsu contributed to that quite a bit.
Cirno is like the underdog detective who actually was the hero all along.
Not the brightest, not the strongest, just strong enough to accomplish what matters.
Cirno is the hero this land deserves, an ice knight.
