I'm curious what the typical otaku thinks about Japan's neighbor across the pond, being a Chinese language and culture student who retains a healthy interest in all things Japan.

Thoughts?

Writing in simplified is easier, faster. Plus when reading, the characters are more easy on the eyes (less brushstrokes). Why would you hate it?

>> No.6102347

Both traditional and simplified have their share of retarded characters. 邊 學 齊 for example and in simplified all the moronic 又 characters. 难 鸡 劝 对.

I refuse to write any of those.

One thing I don't understand about China is why they have one standard time zone gmt+8 over the entire 5 regions of China which are clearly in different time zones.
That would suck I mean, if it's starting to go dark but your clock says it's only 4pm.

>> No.6102402

>>6102395

I don't understand why the entire world isn't one time zone and everyone accepts that people go to work at relatively different times of the day. Seems a lot less confusing than the status quo. China's doing it right.

They have the official standard time which was introduced and enforced by the Government but many regions in China have their own unofficial local time.

country suffering from government oppression, serious pollution problems, crippled and isolated by their retarded language
as always, the greatest problem China has is the communist party

>> No.6106060

The typical Western otaku or the typical Japanese one? Because the latter absolutely despise China. They don't hate it the way the English hate the French, they hate it the way people from the Deep South hated blacks before the civil rights movement.

As for Western otaku, it varies. Some feel the same way the Japanese do, some love China because they are orientalists with a hard-on for anything Asian.

It's some kind of noodle. Not a real character, they just made it up. Well, then again, that's how all the characters were made.
