For starters the noko+sage thing adds the extra so to speak, so if the extra doesn't fill a purpose that's enough not to use it really.

Ok, you didn't feel your post was worthy to bump the thread? That's fine, no need to be ashamed about it, also no need to hide it.

But there really is no direct need to "advertise" it, but it's also stupid to push such terms onto it. As mentioned previously, the noko+sage thing is what's adding the extra to begin with.
If one doesn't hide it however, it can work as a ratehr crude indication of the value/intent behind the post.

A 'stealthy sage', is more or less just "Hey look my post is important! But just kidding xD I used sage by adding an extra Hurr"

I claimed the default function was all that was needed.
You seem to defend this extra for reason, and you also want the default side to further argue for their claim?

I can't say I do care.
I only have 2 posts in this entire thread, and I am just bored.

Lots of people in /jp/ reply to threads that don't particularly interest them, simply because they are bored.

And sage is by no menas "precious" to me in any other way than it's function, and that function is to not let un-worthy posts bump.
Then again, if others use sage correctly it would benefit the community as a whole.
But /jp/ are already is doing a somewhat good in using it correctly, so I don't particularly care.

And what's with all the insults? The irony of using them is that you come off the one that cares.

This whole thing just started due to a misunderstanding when the poster using the all so mighty "stealth sage", argued that people should stop feeding the thread, only contributing with the irony as the noko+sage made it look as if he had bumped the thread, that is to say, really fed the so called troll he argued everyone else not to feed.
A simple misunderstanding and irony in it's finest.
You should just learn to take it easy.
