tl:dr

It takes place in a western primitive world. She is the only daughter of the former king of the North, but she was purposely left in the wild at the age of 6 because her father's council detested having a girl to be the heir to the throne. However, she survived, befriended with wolves, and eventually commanded them. (Due to her command over the wolves, she's often refered as "Alpha", or the leader of the wolves.)

After hearing the news of the death of her father, she returns to the capital. At the age of 13, she reclaimed the throne that was rightfully her with brute force. She later titles herself the "King of the North" and "King of the Wolves". With armies of knights and wolves at her command, she waits patiently with her sight is set on destruction of the southern kingdom.

That's the basic background of her story. Although she hangs out with the protagonists all the time, she's one of the final bosses.

Her default outfit is a ragged fur cloak, sarashi and bloomers (I blame touhou)
