Does /jp/ know a good OCR text recognition program with Japanese available? I can't read shit for kanji, so it could be helpful for reading untranslated doujins and looking up what I can't read. All the good free ones I found either don't have Japanese or can only work with .tiffs or some shit, or are from the Windows '95 era, but I'm willing to pirate anything that might do the trick.

I used omnipage a long time ago, and it was fairly decent.

Hm, I just write it down with IME pad. Good practice while you are at it.

Handwriting recognition is no good if you don't know shit about stroke order. Even if you try to draw a copy of the kanji, it's very hard to find the right one.

Either learn stroke order basics (easy) or use multiradical lookup.

Looking up unknown kanji is trivial in the age of computers.
