Stages are specifically designed to be as excruciatingly un-fun as possible so that the bosses seem cooler. This is why boss rushes are the best type of shmup, and why you should play StB and DS instead of the others.

Novice here. How you use spell card, are the same as the bombs?

......the rule in gensokyo is that everyone is allowed spell cards to defend themselves.
As the player, you are only allow 1, which is your bomb.
The enemy's special moves where you can collect points for capturing her spell card without dying or bombing(this rule applies to most games).
Basically they have regular bullet patterns, and then they have their super moves which create new patterns that you want to survive without bombing to get more points.
Sure you can call your own bomb a spell card, but it's always the enemy with the stronger spell card, even if you use to be a stage 5 boss.
Graze for points, shift focus movement, remember patterns, bomb it before you lose it.

I've never done easy mode, I just charge in on Lunatic, that's why I've never beaten a touhou game.
I usually get 5-20%
