It'sIn many fanworks she seems to be using some recognizable older rangefinders.

A fictional one.

For fictional people.

Such as herself.

Why not? Most cameras are easy to recognize.

Maybe because it's just some random draw ZUN made without having a real camera in mind?

I will never understand photographers. $500 on a fucking lens? One fucking lens? You have six of them. What the shit.

Varies depending on the artist, but usually she is seen with what appears to be a classic film SLR. I like to think she uses an Olympus OM-1

Optics is serious business. See the Hubble mirror incident (because of that I like to think Hubble Telescope as a nearsighted girl who had to undergo surgery. )

Its stupid. I'm fine with the two kit lenses for my E-500, but I do with I had a good bright macro lens for it.

BEST FUCKING CAMERA EVER!!!!!!!!!!
I have that exact camera, but mine has no flash mount.

And a $500 lens would most likely still not be a top notch lens. Need to at least double that figure.

Lenses outlast camera bodies. With proper care you'll have them for a very long time life.

They all do different shit, and have their strengths and weaknesses.

I own two lenses that were almost $2000, each, another that was over $1000, two $500 lenses, and three $300 lenses. Aside from one of the $500 lenses that I replaced with one of the $2000 lenses, they all do different things and have their respective strengths and weaknesses.

Sure, for the average shit that 90% of DSLR owners do, an 18-200 or the two kit lenses are fine. Once you get beyond that, though, there's more and more glass you start finding a need for, and if you end up doing it professionally, you end up with the high-end glass, because it's the only thing that delivers the results clients and employers are looking for.

The OP's figure looks like she's got a Nikon F, by the way. It's the only camera I can think of off-hand that had the name on a separate plate on the front of the prism like that.
