I'm a self hating otaku. When I hear someone talking about anime in real life I get the urge to beat the shit out of them. Even on /jp/ when someone discusses how much they like some shitty thing to a shameless degree I just want to reach my hand through my monitor and squeeze their throat.

Does anyone else feel like this?

>> No.5556922

only outside, anonymous discussion don't have to be taken seriously

>> No.5556928

I guess this is the mentality of the majority of gay haters. I'll never understand it.

>> No.5556936

Sometimes I remember how fucking pathetic I am
Then I just say "Oh well"
And shrug it off

>> No.5556947

not on 4chan, but on real life yes.
I despise pretty much everyone who talks about anime and japanese related things, realizing at the same time that I'm worse than any of them.

it's not like I don't know why I'm alone.

>> No.5556934

Why do you hate yourself so much anonymous?

Me too, but how is that self hating? Do you watch anime?

If you hate anime and Japanese related things so much why don't you get another hobby?

Nope. You're mentally ill!

What else do you call it when you hate your own kind and are ashamed for what you are?

>Do you watch anime?
Yes.

I despise those kind of people, yet I respect them at the same time. They openly admit what they like and express their true opinions, something I can't ever do due to insecurity.

I sense much anger in this one.

I hate the meme-screaming retards that talk about anime and weaboo shit in public.

I never said I hate those things, I said I hate the people who like those kind of things.

>> No.5557137

When I was in high school there was a nerdy guy that talked to me when he was bored and the subject of anime came up and he asks me what my favorite anime was, I tell him, then he says he's never heard of it and asks me to explain the plot to him. By now the entire class is silent and I had a reputation of not talking at all so I knew they were all listening to every word I said. With my face burning red I explained the plot to him and lost what little dignity I had left. I have never humiliated myself more in my life. This is probably what sparked my hatred of open weeaboos.

That must have been traumatic. But at least none of your classmates knew about what you talked, right?

It doesn't matter whether you hate yourselves or not, it won't change the fact that

If it's any consolation I once forgot how to wipe my ass properly for five months. That sounds almost as humiliating as what happened to you.

>> No.5557249

I don't mind them as long as they not ridiculously geeky about it (liked the guys I knew who walked around with Naruto headbands in high school). Those who keep it under wraps I can live with.

...What? Why would that be embarrassing to talk about in front of anime nerds? It's not like you said Kodomo no Jikan, god damn.

I was once asked what my favorite animes were by the class otaku group, I threw in Bible Black in there as a joke and they just chuckled. Too bad I didn't get to explain the plot of that.

Or maybe it's like watching someone suffer.

>> No.5557447

yeah it really depends on the situation. around people with similar interests, it's ok. Especially if they aren't overly excited about the subject and are in the informed, post-fanatic stage.

However, open weeaboos who just say omg, i loooooooooove <insert crappy anime>, douzou yoroshiku let's go get pocky at the japanese market, then I'm pretty embarrassed to be lumped in with the type.

>> No.5557453

>>5557374
Well still, I don't see what's so embarrassing about it. If people would really look down on someone just for watching a robot anime their opinion is pretty worthless.
